Thank you all for your service, your sacrifices are what make it all possible for the rest of us! I was a Park Ranger for 11 years and have recently moved to a slightly different role, but I still wear a badge everyday and deal with much of the same crap. I am a licensed first responder, educator, janitor, enforcer and a true jack of all trades (but master of none)...

Much respect to all who have served!!!

Yep, I loved my Combat Talon! Folks assume it's just a C-130 but that's deceptive...upgraded engines, some stealth stuff, and the radar was awesome! (And even the frame was reinforced to withstand the extreme turns we put her through.)

Those flares aren't cheap so pretty rare to use them and but I was fortunate enough to be on-board during an exercise in Alaska where we got to pop a bunch...made the coolest sound!

Over twelve years in the U.S. Army. From Berlin, Germany, to Fort Campbell, KY, to S. Korea, and Washington DC. Served more time overseas than CONUS - Europe, Turkey, Middle East, Afghanistan, and Korea. Never hurt serving but was medically discharged because of a drunk driver.

Haven't kept up with them now. so many have changed. But your right on. Spent 3 years where we were not. If that make sense to you. When ever I drew a mission we would say going out the door " fly the friendly skies of air America." Dam it now seams like 3 life times ago. It's hell being one of only two left for my old detachment. Dam I miss those guys. You couldn't ask for a better group to have your back.

Soon to hit the 19 year mark proudly serving in the United States Air Force, career crew chief (aircraft maintainer). Started out working C-141B Starlifter, then C-130H Hercules and for the last 12 years C-17A Globemaster III. If everything goes as planned, I will be retiring next year then moving over to the aerial firefighting world as a maintainer.

    Active duty Navy ... 1995-present.

Enlisted in August 1995 and Commissioned in September 1997. I’ve spent almost half of my time at sea (three CVNs and a DDG) so I’m thoroughly enjoying my current shore tour and time with the family.
