    Yes. Prednisone. I'm on Lupron too but that is androgen deprevation therapy. There are other things coming up to restore "functionality". Fun times.

    Saw my urologist at 11 and radiologist at 3.
    Urologist: PSA down to 0.1. Was at 11.9 before my surgery. Need to get to below 0.1
    Found out I take Zytiga ($9867 per month) for the rest of my life. Hoo Wee..

    Radiologist: Spent 1hour with him. 18 years experience. Specializes in Image-Guided Radiation Therapy and Intensity -Modulated Radiation Therapy. State of the art. I'm getting both. Next week my urologist will implant three metal targets. Should be fun. I then go back to the radiologist to take a gazillion images with a very very exspensive "machine" and spend 8 to 10 hours programming a computer model.Can take up to ten days finalizing the final attack method to provide the most precise radiation dose which minimizes damage to neighboring tissues. I'll be getting radiated for 40 days straight. About a 1/2 hour each visit. More fun times. Good news....Radiologist thinks he can eradicate remaining tumors which means no reason to take Zytiga and Lupron the rest of my life.

    My father was a twice decorated Bronze Star and one Silver Star Marine Aviator with Distinguished Service Medal. Served with John Glenn at MCAS Beaufort, SC.Older brother..NAM at 18 in 68. USMC of course..What else?? My deceased Uncle Larry...enlisted at 15, he lied, in the Army. Was a 1st LT when the Battle of the Bulge happened. 33 years in the ARMY. My mom who is still alive (93 and memory is sharp as a tack) went to his funeral in FT Benning. Gen Abrams was there and a few other heavy weight brass. My cousin Jim, now long retired, Col.. West Pointer. My Dad side ..all Marines..... My mothers brothers' 5 kids(Uncle Larry)..all ARMY...all officers except my cousin Tom went to G Tech..Nuke Physics. Same age as me but died over 10 years ago of "natural" causes. It's all good. Nothing better than USMC Dress Blues IMHO.........

    Got my Calypso beacon transponders "inserted" about an hour ago. So much fun it was. (thanks Yoda). 40 low dose radiation treatments start in a couple of weeks. Fun times......

    Been pretty busy this week between seeing the oncologist, urologist, PCP, and last but not least my radiologist. Had my radiation/CT simulation. In about two weeks my 40 treatments start. To compound things HR informed us that we are switching from Aetna to Excellus BCBS. Needless to say I called Excellus to see if there will be any major changes in what's covered and co-pays. Turns out that my Zytiga and radiation will be 100% covered. Whew!!!. I have 20 more months minimum with Zytiga (@$200K). My radiation bill will be $83K. Obviously I won't know for some time if all this is going to work. My PSA results are now below 0.1 which is what all the doctors were hoping for.

    Well...Just found out my 1 of 40 radiation treatments starts tomorrow afternoon. Apparently should be done with all 40 by end of January. Can't wait......

    Well..just got Rad Zap #4...Hence...4 Alaskan Amber brewskies to offset the radiation. Works for me...The next guy up for his Rad dose was severely GQ spiffy for his "event".. Walked outside and saw a near new black Merc AMG A63 V8 BiTurbo...shit a freaking nice ride. Pretty sure it belonged to Mr Spiff.. AMG or Pee-us?...Let me think.......done...AMG!!

    By the way, yesterday while waiting for Zap #3 with two other blokes fortunate enough to be sharing the good times like me..One of them said "Have you heard this joke?"........A guy walks into a book store and asks the clerk, " Have you heard anything about the new book on Erectile Dysfunction?".     At Grease Monkey now for M1 oil change. Finally had the time. 14 Rad doses. 26 more to go. With all my freeway trips to the Rad Doc...my mpg average "jumped" from 10.6 up to....11....hoo wee....

    I wish I had a dash cam or GoPro. I just got back from picking up some meds and groceries. I left Walgreens and turned south on Laredo St. A normally quite residential street. As soon as I turned onto Laredo I saw a LEO sitting in his cruiser on the left with his lights on. I continued south and saw 4 cruisers with all their lights on and saw several LEOs run through a gate into a private RV/boat type storage yard. Went another half block and the was a fairly new RAM with tinted windows and tiny blue and red flashers on. GIU detective. Went to the end of the block and saw one more cruiser. I was tempted to stop and ask if they were looking for someone. Figured that would be a stupid question so I headed on south to 6th. At about that time a black Altima came from behind me at ludicris speed and almost hit a northbound parked car and made a wild right onto 6th. I was about a block away from 6th. Anyways I saw that RAM hauling ass big time from behind me. I pulled over and signaled with my arm to indicate the dude turned right. I have to admit that RAM handled a high speed turn quite well. An APD cruiser then came from behind and almost lost traction making the turn. I make the turn and pull over again knowing all those cruisers were still coming my way. The perp headed on west. I last saw the perp and the RAM hauling ass under the I-225 overpass and out of sight. That RAM blasted thru 3 intersections with 5 LEO cruisers in tow. Kinda cool......Now where was I????
