2018 Sport grill fitment?

And titan getting more market share might get Toyota to up their game.

 

I can walk out of our dealership and spit on the Nissan USA corporate HQ, and I've got some buddies over there that work on Titan development. Won't catch me in one.

 

I know I can always replace grill and surround other things are a little harder. Incentives and deals right now along with $1000 price bump on 18s is making it tough to hold off until December

 

No way I'd wait just to pay more and get intrusive safety systems.

Now the new colors might be a reason to wait. Think I like the new blue they have.

The emblem has the necessary sensors for Toyota's safety sense. Not just an ordinary emblem.

 

Interestingly enough, on the parts site, it says it is included with the grille.

Yep, the sensors are mounted in the emblem.

 

I wish our site provider would hire a different company for these descriptions. They are often incorrect, and it's really annoying for me. Especially, since I can't go in and change the description myself. I have to contact the site provider, then they contact the third party to change the description.

 

Lol, So that would be a no.....it's not included with the grille.

 

I totally figured that was the case. I'm sure they just took the description from something else and copy/pasted it.

Nope. Toyota never pre paints any of the bumpers.

This thread got me over to the Toyota site. The 2018 Sequoia looks pretty nice and from the interior pictures, looks like they added a locking rear diff...

 

I find it so strange that they havent put the newer tundra front on it. Looks so much better with it than the current seqoia

Yeah it does, looks like 2018 Tundra is getting it too. Hopefully the in-dash display has all the cool features that the off road taco gets.

 

Do you know what the official color of that grill is. It looks like a grayish black to me.

 

I don't think sequoia gets a locker. I think you're seeing a button related to part time vs full time awd.

 

The center section? There is no official name for the color or anything. I guess grayish black could work.

 

My emblem would fit perfectly with the new 2018 grill.

Reading through this thread it looks like the 2014-2017 emblem size is different and wouldn’t fit the 2018 sport (honeycomb) insert?

 

You are correct, but Roman said the emblem from the land cruiser is a direct fit.

 

Thank you. The reason I was asking is because I have a custom emblem from Diaz fabrication @Andres that I want to transfer to the honeycomb grille.

 

This is new to me, I've never seen that grille before.
This is for the 2018 Tundra grille correct?
The sides holes may fit the emblem, I wonder what the width o the factory emblem is.

 

I doubt any other emblem will fit since the 2014+ Tundra was the biggest emblem Toyota produced.

As of right now I my not have a mid bracket that will fit that grille if it's in fact different than the other Tundra emblems.
I'll have to purchase one in order to make a mid bracket and Devil Horns.
