    Hello guys,

I have installed aftermarket Kenwood 694s and only what else I have remote starter and alarm that is aftermarket. This morning after one week without starting my tundra at cold Chicago area my tundra won't start due to drained battery (not completely dead) but probably half way down.
Truck is 2 years and two months old. Is that normal to OEM batteries go bad after two years?

Would like to mention that I have Viper remote and alarm from day one never had issues until I installed last Sunday my Kenwood unit with maestro module and harnesses.

Jump started and working ok now but haven't turned off last 20 minutes

    Please advise

    See fine print
When I had a viper 2 way alarm w remote start and smart start, it would drain my old cars baffery within a week. Because the smart start system is always on.

I have left my tundra for weeks without starting and had not issues. I would take it to toyota and let see what’s up

Have the dealership test your battery AND alternator/electrical system. Also, check to be sure that your sound system doesn't keep the amps or any part of the system on. Battery tender is a good idea.

My battery failed in one year. Truck completely stock. Needless to say it was replaced under warranty.

Thanks guys, I will see few more days and if happen again definitely I will take it to the dealer to check it out.
How long they cover under warranty? I got brand new 26 months ago with extended warranty but not sure would that be covered under the warranty and aftermarket head unit.
