Quality 4x4 shop near Charleston SC?

I am working on my 2018 Cement Grey Crewmax build and was curious if anyone on the forum knew of a good place to take my Tundra once its time to install my suspension/ lift kit? I have used the google and there is a new 4 Wheel Parts shop, and Low Country 4x4.

I still like to get the advise from people who drive Tundras, not just Jeeps or F-150s that they do a lot of apparently.

Thank you in advance. (I wish I could drive my truck to SDHQ out west).

 

I am curious about the same. While I have zero personal experience to speak of with them, I have found that LC 4x4 has questionable reviews...

 

I've personally had excellent results with 4 Wheel Parts, not the Charleston store specifically though. I had a lift install done about 11 years ago in Escondido, Ca. I also deal with there catalog hotline for parts at work, winches, toolboxes, things like that.

If I had one near me I wouldn't hesitate to utilize them.

 

4 Wheel parts may be the place to go then. I feel if there were any issues that as a large company it would be (wishful thinking) easier to deal with to get it resolved.

And yes, LC4x4 does have questionable reviews. That is actually what prompted me to ask the question originally.

@Zero One Actual I called 4 Wheel parts last week for some info and quotes and could not be happier with the knowledge and professionalism so far...

 

The new store is almost across the street from LC4x4. It's a few blocks up closer to the huge Ford dealership on a corner there. You can't miss it.

 

What kind of suspension lift? I may not have a shop but I’m damn good with a wrench, and I’m in Charleston with a cement limited crewmax myself. I’m rolling on kings and 35s, installed in the driveway. I’d be willing to aid and assist with the install if interested.

 

Well you will be angry because I too shall have a cement limited crewmax. I have not figured out what suspension yet. I'm favoring the Bilstein setup to raise the from 2.5 and the rear about 1.5 with some 285/75R18s or 295/70R18s. Other option is the Toytec boss kit and all that entails. UCAs etc.

I’m active navy stationed on the sub base here. Live on base in goose creek. I HIGHLY recommend using suspension to level vice spacers. I had a set of shocks actually bend with a spacer leveling kit.

I’m down to talk trucks, cars, anything with a motor. Hell, even a small meet up for burgers and beer sounds good to me.

I got my lift installed at Lowcountry 4x4. I called 4wheelparts to see if they’d do it and for how much but he told me they won’t touch it since it was Toytec. They only touch what they sell. My LC4x4 experience was good. Very responsive to calls and FB messages. Took them an entire day to install and align, the guy even stayed open an hour late so I could pick it up that night. Seem to know what they’re doing.

 

Awesome. Super glad you had a good experience there. I'm starting to wonder if the online reviews about them are old and they got new management or new employees etc or possibly due to the fact that 4wheelparts opened up across the street from them so they know they need to have better customer service and relations? Either way, I will also go to both spots and get quotes.

Did you end up going with this Bilstein set up? I’m looking to do the same in CHS but haven’t decided on where to get the work done.

 

Do it in your driveway and take it somewhere for an alignment. Hendrick toyota will align to YOUR specs, if you provide them.

 

I still have not even purchased a tundra yet but I do have the 6112s, shims and 5160 rears also with coachbuilder shackles as well for the rear to level it off.
