$169. Has remote start/stop functions, door lock/unlock, and a gps locate feature. It nice being able to check from bed if I locked the doors and lock them if I hadn't!

Good find, I was just trying to find a seller to see what these go for. Their website says,"MyCar is available only through authorized retailers that offer professional installation. Professional installation is required."

If its all plug and play and can be purchased without install, this is looking like a good deal.

Bawahaha. If I didn’t have the RF remote I would do it for sure! Another thing I’m not fan of with these units is that they draw power when your car is off since it has cellular and gps etc. not sure how much. Wish they said on their website.

That’s super cool. Out of all the cellular units this is the best by far.

I have the Fortin system and love it. Also have the mycar addon and probably use it more than I should. I just by habit start my car with it every morning.

I bought my system from tech12volts and yes it was 100% wired for me. I just had to plug it in. And programmed it. Which is easy. And then download app and register the system and you’re off

Plug and Play as far as wiring goes. In order to communicate with the remote starter, the MyCar must be learned to the EVO-ONE through a few steps...

Anyone seen this remote starter before? It is a little bit pricey compared to the Evo but seems easier to install from what they claim. I wonder if they can make one for the 2014-2017 models. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14blXsK-pek

I'm definitely interested in this when I get my truck, my big question is if I install it on a brand new truck does it void any warranty stuff? Like would the whole electrical system now be voided because of an aftermarket remote start install?

There's one thing I don't like about the EVO-ONE. No anti-crank feature. Does anyone know how enable anti-crank? Is it even possible with EVO-ONE?

Not sure if it's possible, but it would be nice. I've only done it twice, and it was on the same day.

Would love to report in on how much I love my Fortin Evo remote start, but.......B2462161-D2FA-492C-B1C9-D7E1C098A8B9.jpg 8687EF87-A8B3-444C-B5EF-C28BC1F82421.jpg

Good ole USPS. Was supposed to be here Wednesday.

Best part is Syracuse is an hour away (yesterday morning).

But let’s put these people in charge of our health care too.

Many of my BF purchases have been delayed too. UPS / USPS, it doesn't seem to matter.

I used PayPal the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I figured it didn’t make it out to the post office til Friday or Saturday, which I understood and was cool with.

Was told Saturday- Wednesday delivery. So I expected Wednesday. It’s a 10.5 hr drive from the seller to my front door. Seriously.

I get the holidays and delays. But it’s more their (USPS) tracking system is soooo garbage. Dominos has more accurate and up to date tracking for a damn pizza. Especially when I have to pay almost $10 for shipping. If it was free or Amazon prime etc, these posts wouldn’t exist.

Fair enough, this was a concern of mine, since it would be going on a brand new truck.

Know what those steps are? Does it require Fortin Flashlink?

I didn't fortin flashlink, but not sure if it was done by dealer prior to shipping.

These are the instructions I received with my MyCar unit.

LEARN THE TELEMATICS DEVICE TO THE EVO-ONE In order to communicate with the remote starter, the MyCarmust be learned to the EVO-ONE.
1 - Cycle the ignition to the ON position.
2 - The YELLOW LED on top of the EVO-ONE should come ON.
3 - Press and Hold the EVO-ONE push button for 5 seconds.
4 - The parking lights and the RED LED on the side of the EVO-ONE will turn ON.
5 - Release the push button.
6 - Press and Release the push button 5x times. Everytime the push button is pressed the parking lights and the RED Led on the side of the EVO-ONE will blink.
7 - Then Press and Release the Brake pedal.
8 - Seconds later the RED LED on the side of the EVO-ONE will blink once to confirm that the MyCar ID has been learned to the EVO-ONE.
9 - Cycle the vehicle’s ignition to the OFF position to Exit the EVO-ONE programming.

STEP 9. TEST YOUR DEVICE Once in the vehicle control panel and the system is Online you can test the unit. Test all the application functions (Start, Stop, Lock, Unlock, ETC.) When done with the testing, release or transfer the vehicle from your account to make it “Ready for Customer Delivery”. Also make sure that the MyCar Owners Card is handed to the Owner of the vehicle. Doing this will ensure that the instructions on how to setup their App, Account and Vehicle is done correctly by using the device serial number located on the sticker affix by the installer at the time of installation.

From what I've read, the Fortin Evo One works with the H key. Press lock 3 times, or press and hold to start the truck. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on this one!

just making sure since I have had 2 different sources tell me on the 2018 oem fob with key, remote start modules once started put the oem key fob to sleep and it will not unlock the vehicle. you have to actually use the key in the door lock to unlock the vehicle instead of using the oem key fob.

I need my key in my hand either way...it has to go into the ignition to drive. I believe the Toyota system shuts the engine off when you unlock the doors, and it is much higher in price. I'm not sure why, but the remote is disabled when the engine is running, with or without remote start; it was the same on my '13 Tundra.
Everything I've read on this unit has been good. I sent the guy some questions, and he was very quick to reply in a very friendly manner. Seems like a good person to do business with. I also have a great friend who recently retired from a 30 plus year career as a Honda mechanic. He watched the install video and said "no problem". Ordering at the end of the week. My truck is in a garage at home, but not at my shop or at my cabin. Especially at the cabin the remote start will be nice.

    1week update:
Had my Fortin Evo remote start and man has that thing been a Godsend this past week since some “weather” has rolled through up here. It performs flawlessly. Truck will run for 15 minutes. Everything works with the OEM fob. Hold it for 3s, lights on the truck flash twice and boom. Starts. Truck is locked, unlock with fob, key in ignition, turn to “run” and tap the brake. Off I go.

No goofy after market sensor at the top of my windshield (man that drove me nuts on my old GMC)

Thanks @BlueBottle for the rec, info, and DIY.

Just checked the tracking...mine should be here today or tomorrow. It will be nice to get into a warm truck after a day of ice-fishing!

How difficult is the install? How much do you think this cost to get installed?
