My 1794 was smushed last year when a 90 year-old and his 80 year-old wife ran a light. I was doing 55 and had already entered the intersection when I slammed the brakes. Somehow my airbags didn't go off (which I think was a blessing) and my daughter and I didn't have a scratch on us.
The sucky thing was that I had just ordered my TRD Pro the week before and the dealership offered us $35k on the trade-in. I was having second thoughts about going through with the trade-in but after the accident, I had no problem doing it.
It spent almost 2 months in the shop and I want to say there was $15k worth of damage done. The frame was okay. We still were able to get our $35k trade-in for it and the old people's insurance company gave us $1500 for diminished value. Somehow I made money.2016-07-13_16-30-45_243.jpg 2016-07-13_15-04-35_560.jpg 2016-07-13_16-32-43_244.jpg 2016-07-13_16-41-36_827.jpg
I love these trucks - would never drive anything else. Three different first responders walked up to me, asked how I was doing, and said "Your truck did what it was supposed to do. That's why I drive a Tundra."
Pictures are attached - the one of the steering wheel is from when we hit, I must have ranked the steering wheel to the side. You'll notice the tires are straight.

I kept arguing for more but it took Service King so long to fix it that a week after I got it back, my Pro was in. The insurance dude found my old 1794 on the lot at the dealership I traded it in at and said $1500 was the best he could do. A day later, the dealership raised the asking price to exactly what I was arguing it was worth so I figured I'd better grab the money before he refreshed his browser...

Ok, am I the only one who cringed seeing a Pro all mashed up? A friend who is an amazing mechanic once told me, "if you have enough time and money you can fix anything." Very true, but this looks like a heck of a project. Best of luck. (Hope and pray my truck never looks like that....)
