So are you saying Toyota does the same thing with all their testing videos?

What videos does Toyota have that are like the Chevy or Ford comparison videos?

Seems like we spend the first several years getting them to stand, walk around and talk then we spend the next 15 years trying to get em to sit down, hold still and shut up. lol

Toyota doesn’t do those kinds of commercials. They do unrealistic videos. Wonder why they don’t?

Most of my friends own F series trucks. I can vouch that tailgates don’t open when flexed even less than on those videos.

I can also say they don’t skew the videos. They have way to much to lose if that ever got out. Period. That would be like an accident investigator changing his findings against the science. They would be totally discredited and be out of business forever.

However, do you have any proof that bolts are being removed on beds or back up your claims that they do?

Nope. Just making guesses. It's a billion dollar business. But Volvo did do something like it in one of their commercials. http://articles.latimes.com/1991-08-22/business/fi-1522_1_federal-trade-commission

And that was back in 1991 the FTC was cracking down. The Volvo was missleading and something to do with Monster Trucks. When I think of Volvo, Monster Trucks doesn’t come to my mind. Lol. My point is, they have nothing to gain by just simply stating the facts and/or video.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bashing the Tundra truck. It does have some refining. Would I twist up a full sized truck anyway? No. Why? Exactly what happens to Trey’s truck over time.

It’s kinda like in your sport of desert racing. The manufactured frames are probably pretty ridgid and solid. This helps with suspension tuning when a frame isn’t like a wet noodle.

Another thing we need to stop comparing (and this is my fault) is the Tundra (or any 1/2 ton truck) to a 3/4-1 ton truck frame. Two totally different designs and intended use.
