I haven't replaced the tundra's head unit, but with the proper harnesses (i think crutchfield includes them), easy peasy.

Fairly easy with some basic tools....and get the correct wiring harness from crutchfield or a local stereo shop for your vehicle...makes life much easier

I just replaced my head unit and all speakers. Added an amp, front and back cameras also. Wasn't that hard to do but was very time consuming.
