Those guys were definitely before my time. I have read Snake’s, and Blanda’s books though.

Yeah, we try to forget about him.

Not a damn thing wrong with that, lol. I do have a picture of Matuszak holding me when I was a baby. Taken at the Sun Valley mall in Concord, Ca. So I guess that dates me a little bit.

As a lifelong Broncos fan, even I’d place Howie Long as one of the best ends to ever play the game. Maybe not statistically, but he played with a fury that I absolutely love. And IMO Bo Jackson was the best athlete to ever in the NFL.

without a doubt! TBH, I think he was one of the best athletes of all time. how many people can say they have the ability to go pro baseball AND football much less actually excel at both!?!

I got back to work after picking mine out at the dealer and ordered a TRD PRO grille and Bilstein 6112s. I had not taken delivery yet but at that point I knew what I was buying a Tundra.

Deion was the only other one I’m aware of, but he wasn’t as good at baseball.

The 30 for 30 they did on Bo was really good. His high school coach said he’d go out about thigh deep in the water, and do a standing backflip. Guy is a freak of nature.

Yep. I’m buying one because I’ll be on the road for work in January and towing a TT is much cheaper than staying in hotels.

I forgot about Deion, but you're right, he wasn't as good.

Freak of nature is putting it mildly! They were saying when he had that hip injury/dislocation, his thigh and hip muscles were so strong and powerful that when he got hit, the bones stopped but his muscles kept pushing and then pop went the weasel. That's crazy strength.
I won't even mention the fact that he came back as strong as ever the following season or so. Usually people aren't the same after an injury like that.

We are the 12 step program for ford guys.

    • 1 Admit that you are powerless over Fords and that your garage has become unmanageable.
    • 2 Come to believe that a Tundra is greater than your Ford and can restore you to sanity.
    • 3 Make a decision to turn your garage over to the mods of a Tundra as you understand it..
    • 4 Make a searching and fearless automotive inventory of your stable.
    • 5 Admit to the forum, to yourself and to another human being the exact nature of your Ford transgressions.
    • 6 Be entirely ready to have Toyota remove all these defects of character
    • 7 Humbly ask the forum to remove your shortcomings
    • 8 Make a list of persons you have harmed with your Ford, and became willing to make amends to them all.
    • 9 Make direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
    • 10 Continue to take personal inventory and when you drive a Ford promptly admit it.
    • 11 Seek through mods and this forum to improve your conscious contact with your Tundra as you understand it, praying only for knowledge of how to justify the mods to your wife/husband.
    • 12 Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, try to carry this message to Fordoholics and to practice these principles in all your affairs.

Definitely. All of the ones I’ve seen are really good. There was also one about the Raiders / NWA relationship that you’d probably find interesting. It’s the one thing ESPN still does well.

https://youtu.be/hX400vG44YE (That’s the NWA one. Doesn’t look like the Bo Jackson one is on YouTube.)

Deion wasn't 230-something pounds and still running a 4.2 forty though. Even if he was as good at baseball he still wouldn't be as good of an athlete in my mind. Back then a 230 lb running back was fucking UUUUGE.

Bo is still the only human to play in the baseball all star game and nfl pro bowl.
Additionally people forget about insanity like this. Today is his 55th birthday.
