Just purchased a 2003 tundra. I would like to convert the manual windows and door locks to power. Has anybody done this conversion recently and what is required?

Doubt the locks would be a big deal, though the windows would get pricey real fast! Then again, if you don't mind used, you might find the stuff at an auto wrecker to switch the windows. You would need most of the guts from the old doors.....

I could help you. I wired 2 more doors into the access cab wiring, windows and door locks. I have the 06 electrical wiring diagram manual also.

Hey, I'm interested in adding power windows and power door locks to my 2005 regular cab long box.

I have power windows and door locks actually I have the full doors from a 2000 access cab with the interior panel color that I need to match.

I also have the full wiring harness from that access cab.

I'm just wondering if anybody has mixed and matched these parts like I'm about to attempt on some rainy weekend in the future.

I think I'd rather have manual windows given the chance. There's no need to turn the ignition to open them. Less to go wrong in the long run too.

I did it about 15 years ago on my first Tundra. 2000 V-6, 2 WD. Was not that hard job. I found a junk yard online. They sold me everything on and in the doors including harness for like 250.00. So great deal.
They where happy since most calls are for the door shell. Which they still could sell. Doors are high demand. But not the rest of the stuff.

Been awhile so dont remember everything. But needed to also buy a couple of standard cheap relays and the sockets for those. Then run couple wires from door to door. The relay I just stuffed behind the dash.

Never had any problems with everything working. Sold that Tundra to my neighbor. He still has it and no problems.

I remember calling around trying to find a aftermarket shop. or dealer. Everyone said it was not possible. Said it had to be tied in to the computer or would not work.
I could care less if the computer knew if the doors where locked or the windows where open.

Looked at some wiring diagrams it out myself. Just wired it like a car would have been before they had computers in them. Bench tested it to make sure it would work before installed. Just to confirm wiring.

Also from what I remember the door switches controlled the negative. Not positive power like I first expected. And like most other things.
