Surely with a 7k mark up it must come with some lube? ;)

Get an 18 SR5 and take your seven grand and you have 2k on wheels and tires. Up to 3k on a lift and suspension and 2k left for whatever else. Or just leave it stock and get a supercharger for $6500.

I need to sell cars. Seems to be a bunch of people willing to give more money than suggested retail.
Who would go and buy anything and pay more than asking price?

Dealer offered me a Pro at MSRP and i passed. Told him I don't pay MSRP for anything. He acted miffed. He said my loss and I said no yours.

    Bone stock.
The few Pro I saw north of the Grapevine went down to MSRP when 2018s started rolling in. If I could have gotten that deal I would have bought it but now that the 2018s are out and have more upgrades with the color I want, list was hard to pay. With the discounts already going on for 2018s (-1250 discount) plus the price my broker can get it, it comes down to Pro being $5000-??? more than a new 2018. The street edition comes with little to no chrome, esp on the front, it's hard to justify. Plus, this Tundra has been at this dealer since early Spring. It's difficult to believe only 4 miles are on that Pro.

You should see what they ask them used it's just as bad.
I did a quick cars.com search and only 4 results turned up for pros. Only 2 looked to be real one in red and one in white.

Believe me, I know. I've been looking to buy a second pro, for my dad. The only problem is he doesn't decide which TRD Pro he likes best, the tundra or the 4runnner.

When I bought my Pro in July for sticker the dealer had a 2015 Pro with 20K miles that they had listed for $2k below the MSRP when new. Crazy! Good for us Pro owners, though!

    For what it's worth....
Visited with a national Toyota rep at a recent car show. Great conversation.
Anyway, he said they are promoting the Sport while they "rest" the TRD Pro for a year. Said the Pro will return for '19. Never got to ask if that ment a total model redesign for '19 or '20.

Just glad I got mine this time last year. Hope it retains its value a bit...and wonder what's coming in 2027 when our family budget approves another truck...

Looks like they are really serious about promoting the Sport. I have seen one at the dealer and have not found one in inventory. Maybe limiting production like the Pro so dealers can jack the price up. The Sport I saw looked good but even a 4x4 model as some crappy under sized street tires.

My neighbor just got an 18 DC Sport 4x4 in MGM. Color is very nice but the wheels and tires don't work with it. I don't see anything on the Sport that would warrant paying any kind of premium for it. Toyota needs to come out with a package similar in nature to what Ford did with the Raptor, where there are significant differences between it and the regular Tundras, like more HP/TQ, features and conveniences, suspension, wheels and tires, etc. To me even the PRO doesn't come anywhere close to that kind of package.
