I don't pay more than $20 for a hair cut. I don't understand the money spent on crap that women buy

Well that was fast for this thread to go sideways...

    That’s my truck Mark.
So the mob armor has a thick magnetic plate you double stick tape to wherever you please(preferably a flat clean surface). It’s really strong with the phone holder attached to it. I would do the holder. Unless you want to run a mag-plate behind your case.

There is another way if you want to do it clean. You can attach a strong earth magnet behind the plastic trim and with the mob armor rubber guard you can still catch a good pull. There was another member on here that did it that way. Forgot who but he had a pretty clean setup.

If you like to run a mag-plate behind the case you can opt for a cheaper clutchit. It’s fairly strong. Very maneuverable. And qi charger safe-or similar. Just be careful if you use any strong magnets this way. I seen some stories of it tweaking people’s gps and other functions.

Another great mount to look into is RAM mounts. They got some cool systems. If you have a driver side grab handle I seen folks run a ball screw and phone mount there. Scary but they trust that mount to leave there phone next to the window.

The easiest/cheapest solution is Scosche magnetic mounts.

    www.scosche.com

I use the surface mount and it has held up over 2 years so far and still holds strong.

New ones are supposed to be even better.

Stuck it to the dashboard. Works perfectly. Doesn't move a bit. Perfect placement for using Google Maps on phone too.

I tried using a vent-mount as I had on my previous vehicle. No good because our vents rotate 360*

I have a pro clip for my Garmin on the left side of the radio but I wonder if the same mount would work for the right side too?

Under $20 on Amazon. Be sure to get one with at least a 12" reach. The Texas sun ruins one every couple of years, but they're cheap and easy to replace.

I use these too - what's nice about this solution is if you buy a 2 or 4-pack of bases you can carry one with your travel gear and mount your phone in rental cars. You can also buy a magnetic stand for your desk or night stand.

I do use the vent to mount mine - you need to turn the vents so that they run horizontally and use the clip on the bottom vent. This prevents the vents from rotating.

I have the vent clip magnetic one too. Problem is, is with the heater. That’ll make your phone warm enough to shut down if you’re in winter like we are at times.

I remember USMC haircuts being a buck fifty. My ex would spend $250 + on shoes. Won't mention perfume.... All on my dime. Don't do joint bank accounts.. Just saying. Emphasis on EX.

I don't use my phone for anything while driving. It's hard to dial a number with that metal ringy dingy rotory dial.

Problem is half rotted whale fat is quite the delicacy in some northern AK villages... Don't ask how I know. What sucked...hard booze is prohibited in the villages up there. Used shaving cream to get the taste out of my mouth...Who knew???? Apparently rotteded whale blubber is popular in Iceland too.. Never been there... Seems to beget hot blondes with great complexions there........Back on topic....I don't cell phone and drive. Love hate relationship with cell phones.
