Looks great! Any pics of the inside seating arrangement?

    Front Dinette
    Side Dinette
    Rollover Couch

The hawk would be the same model I'd purchase. I might make some custom lighting upgrades on the exterior like:

    Squadron Sport, Angled Flush Mount
    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/Squadron-Sport-Angled-Flush-Mount-LED-Work-Scene.asp

Instead of the generic LED scene lighting. Plus I can snap on an Amber Rock Guard for Amber Lighting (Less Glare, Bugs, Etc.). Hopefully I can work with a FWC dealer to have them install the lights during the build process. That way I can have all the wiring neatly tucked under the interior panels.

Don't have any of it popped up. Rollover couch model with a king pull out. Fits my family of four just fine albeit snug at night

Nice! I like the Rollover couch since it rolls over into a double bed. Only complaint would be blocking the door, doesn't seem like too big of a deal

We have a system in the morning to get the couch rolled back to make room but ya it does block the door. Hasn't proven to be that big of an issue though. Having the camper gets us out as a family and that's the best part!

What do these things weigh? You guys having to run bags too? Is your performance Offroad sacrificed significantly?

I’m fairly set on a RTT on a rack, but being completely out of the elements and AC makes these things really attractive.

    A FWC Shell (Base Model) ~ 825lbs
    A FWC Equipped ~ 1075lbs

Airbags aren't required. They are nice for heavy loads but ride quality is compromised off-road. A progressive or HD spring is preferred with a camper but ride quality is harsh when the camper is removed. I say go camper if you camp often or want to experience different places without worrying about finding a hotel or campsite.

Looks like there's about 1" clearance on each side when you take the trim piece into account.

These lights would be an awesome upgrade to consider:

Both the Squadron Sport, Work/Scene and Squadron Sport, Angled Flush Mount would be great options.

How easy is it to load/unload these campers from the truck? I'm looking for a solution where I can simply back the truck under it on Friday night after work, take off in the morning, and when coming home on Sunday evening take the camper out again. I don't want to have a camper on board full time.

It’s not difficult to take these on and off. Probably takes me 1/2 hour or an hour from start to finish. I’ve only done it twice though and on a level surface. Look at “Wander the West” forum, there is a ton of info on these things over there.

Bumping this thread with something cool from Vagabond Outdoors.

    Screen Shot 2018-03-16 at 3.43.13 AM.jpg
    http://vagabondoutdoors.com

"We are pleased to introduce “The Drifter”. The all aluminum construction and lightweight camper built for whatever you can throw at it! It’s sized perfectly for mid-sized trucks, providing space and comfort without compromising weight or drivability.

From concept to reality, establishing our business, setting up our new shop, and securing a patent pending design – we have made many refinements over the last year of beta testing and are incredibly excited to launch Vagabond Campers."

From what I've seen and read it appears to be the perfect minimalist camper. I really hope they release a full size version for the Tundra. If they do and it's reasonably priced I'm definitely ordering one.

What camper is this? Any chance you can can get more pics of the inside? With a growing family, that sleeping platform is attractive.
