    I have a 2012 tundra. 5.6 liter.
I installed an AFE cold air intake with a dry filter.
Since then I have notice a decrease in acceleration. Slower shifting, etc.

When I unplug the battery and reset the ECU it runs strong for about 4 days then bogs down again.

I think that maybe I am getting too much airflow and the MAS is compensating by telling the ECU to add more fuel.

Anyone else run into this? Solutions?

He has a dry filter so no issues with over oiling if thats where you were headed.

Not sure how lethargic its gotten but the larger diameter intake will slightly hinder liw end torque due to airflow velocity being "slower". Smaller diameter usually better for low end and larger is all up top HP.

Id say take it off and see how the truck responds. Still the same way, there is an issue. Id not, keep the intake off and just do a drop in AFE dry filter and call it a day...after all factory is already CAI.

Cleaned the airflow sensor. It helps but same effect after about a week it bogs down.

    Hoses are tight.

I think I’ll try the stock air box and see what happens after a week or so.

Sean66 I’ve heard many people say that stock is best before.

fyi I went back to stock and an AFE drop in dry filter. Best of both worlds.

Your stock airbox is the best, its a true CAI. Do a SABM and add a K&N, take out the filter in the top of the stock box, and call it a day.
