    Hey guys..

Newish to the tundra world. Looking to build a bed rack for my rtt. Was wondering how the bedsides fair with weight. I know that the 2nd gen tacos had trouble with the plastic bedside cap caving in to the weight. I’m curious if the same applies to the Tundras. Do I need to tie the bed rack into the bed bolts as well.

My 1st gen taco’s rack just goes to the bedsides and I’ve never had problems in the 4 years I’ve had it.
    Thanks in advanced!

I would think that you will not have the same problem you had with your Tacoma. Tundra bed sides are stamped steel so it should fair well like all other full size trucks.

Just the rack and a tent, so roughly 300lbs plus mine and maybe another's weight so 650 lbs?
