So my truck is 2yrs, 3months old with 20K miles. Factory battery took a crap over the weekend. Truck would jump start no problem, but just click, click, click without a boost. I wasn't sure if the battery was considered a wear item or not, but called 2 dealerships and they both said yes they would cover under the 3/36 factory warranty. Drove it to the dealer Monday PM and was in and out after 30 min. Sometimes things do go right at the dealer.....

My battery went out around 82k 1 year and a few months but I wasn't willing to even hit the stealership. I went straight to batteries plus.

Battery in my wife’s brand new 4Runner died a few weeks ago after 2 months and less than 4000 miles. Toyota Dealer said it’s not uncommon and that sometimes they are bad when they get them. Dealer replaced with a new 7yr battery.

Ya but it won’t last 7 years. That’s a bet I’ll take :) I would rather not be stranded somewhere and deal with hassle.

I know. I hope to get 4 out of it. They don’t last long in the heat here.

I replaced mine on my own before it left me stranded.

At 4 years, 12k miles the stock one seemed fine, but didn't want to chance it. Now I have a fresh Interstate so I know I'm good for a while.

I'm fortunate, she spends a lot of time in the garage!

Mine stays in and comes out in any harsh weather (heavy snow) and just the weekends, for the most part.

Interstate used to last me around 6 years. Last two Interstates i had in my Sierra only lasted me not even 3 years each... but they replace them for free each time so now i have a brand new Interstate again. I was going to get something else but they replace them for free so i say cool!

I have had good luck with Interstate. Even in my quads, boat, etc.

That's disappointing though, just 3 years, but I see your point, why switch if they are replacing them! There's nothing like a company that stands behind their product.
