hi, my 2014 tundra is just a year old. i installed a remote starter and found help with the wiring information from the forum. i already got the power locks and i am having problem with the remote starter. it initially starts the engine (like turning the key) but it doesn't come to rev it up...what i know i am missing are three wires-the starter kill, the wire for the lamp terminal for the alternator and another one is the instant trigger input. can anyone tell me what the color of these wires are or can anyone help me with what i am missing here. appreciate all the help you guys can do...thanks!

Problem you have is you need a bypass kit for the transponder. If not the engine will not start.

Or you have to leave a key in the truck at all times so the transponder sees it.

o, so that is why they say everytime my friends have a remote start system installed, the installer usually asks for a key.where do i put the key, then?

That kind of defeats the purpose of the transponder key.

You can leave it in the ash tray and the unit should see it there if not you have to zip tie a key close to the ignition under the panels so it can see it the key...

Honestly imo. I dont recommend this. If you have say a 40 grand truck why cheap out on a cheap remote starter your asking for trouble. Get a direct electronics remote start with the express kit for transponder bypass.

12volt.com you can search for your wiring diagram.
