Quality is very good quality if not excellent. Super snug. Security seems very good, not impenetrable but very theft resistant. I only heard good things about them and that is why I got the MX4 and not the version lower. I live in LA so if it ever rains I would not be too concerned if I were to have stuff in there for an extended period of time. This version can support 400 lbs which is nice if you want to sit on top of it etc. Probably would not recommend a ton of it over time but it does have a good warranty.

The F1 is pretty much the same as the MX4 except it has a textured fiberglass reinforced polymer top panel instead of aluminum. It runs about $110 more than the MX4, thats why I'm looking for a good deal. For that price, it better be all but bulletproof.

That’s about it, the rest is cosmetic although the skid plate is functional.

So I guess I can get a TRD badge for my Limited DC now, I have TRD Pro exhaust already and just got TRD Pro shocks installed. Don’t really care about cosmetics. Thanks for the info.

Nice, u think that would help if u were ever rearended? I'm think doing the same but not sure on length of insert. Some look too short and others stick out begging to hit shims. I'm either going to do this for my drive around while not towing or I kinda like the RBP step/hitch, not sure yet. I'm guessing the lock works by separate key? Where u get all and how much if u don't mind me asking.

@ToyTec Lifts correct me if I am wrong but with your shackles, the TRD dual exhaust needs to be modified for these to fit, correct?

I got a Coachbuilder +3 shackle and 2 shims upfront with the TRD dual exhaust. I'm curious of toytec response now.

We have seen some trucks with the TRD Exhaust have to modify the hanger in order for the exhaust to clear the leaf pack properly.

From the @ToyTec Lifts site when looking at the shackles for the Tundra...

**For vehicles with the TRD Exhaust, the exhaust will need to be modified to work with shackles.
** We have seen a few models which may require minor grinding on the bolts which interfere with the shackle at the 1" setting.

Maybe that's difference, so many variables. I also have a pro that comes with a factory 2 inch lift before the shackle. My shackle is also +3 which gives 1.75 additional lift. I'm guessing the fact I have a pro which comes from factory higher than all other tundra trim levels plus the size of the shackle itself all comes into factor.

Hey I think it's great that Toytec is providing that info or disclosure. I'd hate to make the purchase and find out later during install it's a problem. From what I'm gathering here, depending on your existing suspension plus the size of the purchased shackle it may require a little more than just throwing it on. Myself I appreciate knowing these things going into the install, rather than finding out later when I run into the problem.

So even though I have yet to purchase anything from Toytec, I just want to say thank you for being a honest seller. It's always great to see when a company puts the consumer before selling more product. That simple disclosure is nice to know, even though it's not something that can't be done. It's just nice to know these things as a consumer going into it before running into an unknown issue underneath the truck in the middle of an install. Good job Toytec, even though it appears it can still be done, thank u for just being a honest business providing all the info so consumers can decide for themselves over simply selling more product. This little disclosure makes me want to buy something from u and trust me, I don't need any tempting lol.

Yes for sure! It's great @ToyTec Lifts puts this info out there. I was about to purchase but then saw this and had to reconsider my options. I am thinking that since you have the pro suspension you are "in the clear". From what the toytec site said, maybe the 1" setting on the shackle makes for an exhaust adjustment but the 1.5" will have enough clearance. @ToyTec Lifts can you confirm this?

Sounds like this could be case. Maybe a larger shackle could be in your future. That or a little grinding that don't sound too bad. Me being me I think I'd lean larger if was case. Good luck with all.

Just an fyi, the TRD Pro rear sits at the same height from the factory as the SR5 and Limited with TRD package, at least. Not sure about other trim levels. The front however does sit higher. Maybe there were multiple versions of the exhaust bracket that was used that determines whether or not there needs to be some modification done. Just my.02

Interesting. I did not know the rear heights were the same from factory. I thought the pro was higher in the rear as well. Do you still have the pro suspension or a different setup?

I just installed color matched pro grille/mirror caps/door handles, along with the 2018 Black housing LED headlamps on my 2015 Tundra 1794.

Took it for a short trip around the block last night after the install and have to say I am liking the look of everything and the light output is better than before. I'm looking forward to not having to change the light bulbs every 5 months. [emoji57]

Headlights from my buddy at Toyota.

    Harness from @iHacker on Tundras.com

    Morimoto MotoControl wire harness

Side note: I have color matched bumper ends coming in a few weeks from @CoolSpringsToyota4a2610f6960b6afce76d1143614d7540_c29b5fa3d0a25915823692ece7c1d60d7ceb87a3.jpg32d181a71712ca70eaa2abdbd44956ba_ccffdfe6b18a8389e69694a8804053495e8186d8.jpg98ccebbc844826afffed87d3ac398bd5_9e254921986cbb79720ec4770dfb9569b92d934f.jpg

Mx4.jpg Just got done installing my BakFlip Mx4 cover, I had one on my previous truck and to me it is one of the best cover you can buy. Now I have to wash out my bed because I have foot prints all over the bed mat.

Yes, I am one of those people who wax their riding mower and the inside of the truck bed.
