Hell brother, I have spotting cameras. It kinda goes like this:

    -drives forward...crash. Shit.
-backs up, reposition. Drive forward, crash. Shit.
-looks over at passenger...he/she gets out, opens beer, yep, there is a big rock right there.
    -driver rolls eyes...you don't say.
-manual spotting camera tells me where I need to go.
    -opens another beer.

Haha. That's the first time I saw 360° camera coverage. Wild. Just like how backup cams blew up, I wonder if almost all vehicles will have that setup in 10 years or so.

Sold my 1978 FJ40 about 4 years ago, really regret it. Bought a new Rubicon last year, then bought my wife a pristine 2013 Land Cruiser which she loves.

Just ordered my new 1794 CrewMax, so feel I'm set for a while.

The best forum for Land Cruiser enthusiasts and many others that wheel is IH8MUD, check it out.

Those guys do great restos. How 'bout a 100 series SAS setup?

I know some guys with incredibly built 62s, 80s, 100s, 200s with a small sprinkling of Lexus versions.

It is actually pretty bad ass. A few truck manufacturers have this option as well.

80 Grand for an LC may not be a bargain, but if i had it, it would be the first purchase i would make. I am not a world traveller, nor have i seen everything, but i have seen LC's in action. From desert work, to sloppy farm conditions as well as a mountain pass i thought my deuce and a half was not going to make it through, and the LC is nothing short of amazing. I won't knock a RR/LR, but the dependability of a Toyota can't be challenged, all of us here realise the brand and what its strengths are.

I bought my Tundra for many reasons, one of the reasons was for the 5.7 litre, the same as in LC.:burnrubber:

My buddy in Albuquerque, New Mexico built this FJ40 with a new cummins R2.8. It is pretty sick.

I’m a land cruiser fan. Had an 80 series for a while. Wish I still had it.

I really miss my 80 series. It said Lexus everywhere but it was 100% tough... Old Man Emu lift and after finding out the hard way, extended brake lines. 35s on stock wheels, only rubbed when flexed hard. I put that thing through some pretty risky obstacles! Just an absolute beast. Damn....now I need a toy!

We have an old 1974 FJ40 FST, was basically a barn find. 27,000 original miles according the the dude I got it from (it was his grandfathers hunting rig) but there was no proof of it. Original paint and I have the original soft top doors. Took it to a local mechanic and he said he was 100% certain that the miles are original. Unfortunately we have to sell it because our new old home doesn't have a garage and the city won't let us add one.
Got a guy saving his pennies and it looks like she'll go to her new home in February. We may try to get a 100 series next for family traveling.IMG_0584.jpgIMG_1653.jpg

great FJ build , the irony of your buddy building the LC and as it turns out my buddy is playing banjo in the song by "The Steeldrivers " Great Nashville band , some guy named Chris Stapleton was their fist lead singer ... Ha (nice guy as well) .
