Planning on a death valley trip Oct 6-11 with the wife and kid. Probably just going to be us unless some other rigs want to join (anyone is welcome) and I'm not too worried about Lippincott pass, but from what I've seen and read about Steel pass it can be a little rough for bigger vehicles. Anyone who's done it had any trouble in a Tundra clearance wise? I might have a RTT on my camper shell by then so that's gonna take away a little more clearance up top.

Steel pass can be done in a tundra. I did it last year. But you will need sliders and you may scrape your hitch. There is only one difficult spot. The rest of the trail is super cool, great views. FYI if you are taking it towards Eureka Dunes, the camping there is very windy. The wind is kicking hard almost all the time, but it does calm down at night.

    We still on for Friday?

I may roll with you on this trip for the weekend

Oh and climbing to the peak of the dunes is a must. But do yourself a favor and bring some beers to crack when you get to the top
