So here is my build, nothing crazy just simple small mods. I love my truck but I want a more aggressive look, Ive seen a thread saying with no lift or level biggest I can go on tires is 275/60R20, I currently have 275/55R20. Looking from the front or rear, the tires look skinny, I think wider looks better but not too much. I think If I had tires that stick out the fender a lil bit it would give it that look, any thoughts? how do i get that?. I was thinking of getting a leveling kit in the front to level its stance, Tundras look good with lifts but with a short wife and a kid on the way I think it will be a shit move. Do I have to do anything with the rear if I level the front?.The only other thing I will put on it is a TRD exhaust.image1.jpg image3.jpg Presentation2.jpg Presentation1.jpg

2 to 2.5" spacer level lift. Easiest and cheapest way to get there. Don't have to touch the rear. Will get you a little larger tire.
    Look at toyteclifts.com.

You can achieve a wider stance with wheel spacers like I have done. Could also change wheels with greater offset

Samoan? Short wife? I bet you are pretty a big guy. I had neighbors in Van Nuys, CA from Tonga. My neighbor, Jessie was a maybe 165 lbs, his wife, "Vi" was maybe 280lbs at least. Very beautiful. Great cook too. Certain South Pacific cultures consider "heavy set" women to be the bomb. I totally get it.

I have a short wife and 2 kids. Oldest being 2 y/o now. Side steps would work well for ya. :)

Oh, and my wife is around 4'7"

I think 2 inches in the front will level it. With your +60 offset on the wheel, you may be able to fit a
285 55 20. Depending on the style of the tire. But that still won't get you to the fender. You will need to get som 1.25 inch wheel spacers to do that if you plan to keep those wheels.

I would recommend Bilstein 5100 (or Pro Comp ProRunner) over spacer leveling kit. I've seen enough number of reports of guys breaking front struts just by going over a pot hole with spacers. Bistein's are not that much more expensive.

Do you want wider tires or do you want the tires to come out of the wheel well more? With Bilstein 5100, you could install up to 35x12.5's with proper offset (I know there's a guy with 35 mm offset with no rubbing). But the tires will not stick out too far. If you want the tires to stick out more, then you need smaller offset, but you have to go down in tire size (width). I have 18 mm offset and the max size I could use is 295/70/18 (less than 12 in in width). I could not go any wider without cutting some serious stuff, which I was not willing to do.

I went with a 2 inch leveling also. My rims are +38 offset with 275/60r20 tires. Don't stick out too much where I'd have to add fender flares but enough for the look.20150918_163003.jpg VZM.IMG_20150918_172932.jpg

I like that look and that's something I would do, that looks good with 20 wheels even though it seems most people go with smaller wheels bigger tires, now I'm torn between getting a leveling kit or bilsteins like
chphilo has said. You ever had any problems with your kit?

Bilsteins do the same thing a leveling kit does right?, I want my tires to come out the fender a little bit like what
Grizzly660 has set up. I want to keep my stock wheels and for the tires to come out, Im a cheap ass, I already got the wheels I like how they look so I'll keep em.

Not so far but haven't had it very long yet. Stiffened the ride just slightly but that could be also going to a LT tire instead of a P tire.

Oh a question, so if you get a lift or level with bigger tires, will the factory jack still work(meaning still able to support with the added height?) when i get a flat? Do i have to get a better one? what have you guys done? or is a high lift better?

I see this thread is over a month old so you probably already figured out your jack question.
I carry an aluminum racing floor jack and a 5t bottle jack. Got rid of the dinky toy factory jack and put a fire extinguisher in it's place. Carried a hi-lift for decades, used it lots, but no more. unless you have after market bumpers and/or sliders with hooks there is only one place on new trucks where you can use a hi-lift (other than passing a strap through the rim) and that is dead center at the rear under the hitch receiver.

    keep on truckin...
