Pre east/west rivalry or post for Pac?

Also, Mercury solo or with Queen?

From that list, Michael Jackson, hands down. I actually like some of his songs. I can't say the same about any of the others on that list. His showmanship and choreography were second to none. I've watched videos of his performances and really wished I would have had the chance to go to one. Smooth Criminal live would have been nuts.

Other than MJ though, that list may as well be part of my top most hated "musicians" of all time list. LOL

But hey, what do I know? I've never actually been to a concert in my life.

Alot of it is just how they sound and the type of exposure I've had to them.

This is just one man's opinion here. Thankfully music can be enjoyed differently by different people:

    MJ - I actually appreciate

Bob Marley - Pothead mascot it seems and I'm not a fan of reggae

    Biggie Smalls - I don't like rap

2pac - I really don't like rap and being "gangsta" is not cool.

Jimi Hendrix - This one's kinda iffy but I gotta go with I don't like him. I appreciate the groundwork he laid for guitarists. However, it's been improved upon. Kinda like the Irish invented whiskey and the Scots perfected it. I find his music just sounds old.

Freddie Mercury - Queen is my #1 most hated rock band. They're overplayed. They're long winded. Their sound grates on my eardrums. They sound so weak while trying to sound tough (eg. We Are The Champions). For the longest time I thought the lead singer was a chick.

Amy Winehouse - Not a fan of her music style. Total trainwreck of a human being who pissed her life away despite being handed great potential, therefore loses my respect.

Kurt Cobain - Nirvana is my #2 most hated rock band. They literally sound high and drunk while being whiny at the same time. Cobain's lyrics always sounded slurred. Musically, they just seemed...flat.

Again, just this man's opinion. I'm sure people wouldn't like some of the music I listen to. Thank god for Spotify and headphones. LOL

Well, if Cobain was still alive, Nirvana wouldn’t have developed the legendary status they have now.

I can get on board with tastes not matching the styles of the people here

MJ was another trainwreck of a human IMO who had a ton of talent but we all know his issues

Marley was meh, and like you I don't care for reggae

Biggie I never thought was that great

Pac might have been a "gangsta" but a lot of his stuff hit on social issues that we still deal with today and I think he was a lot smarter and talented than people give/gave him credit for. I grew up on this type of music and in a fairly rough area and I understand a lot of reasons behind falling into the gang lifestyle

Hendrix was def ahead of his time and an incredible guitarist

Mercury to me was an incredible talent who had a wide range of ability

    Winehouse is absolutely a trainwreck

Cobain is an interesting case for me. I see him, and Nirvana as very important in the history of rock music, however I think the music was more important than his skill as a singer. They gave rise to Dave Grohl after all...

MJ. But would leave the kids at home :D
Although Nirvana unplugged was amazing and that would be a great second choice.
