So I keep reading about it, and even saw some TSB for it for the older gen... Do the newer Tundras still have this bed bounce issue?

You got it all backwards, you gotta put your mattress in the back of your tundra!

Usually it’s on concrete highways, not asphalt roads but yes the bounce is still there.

But with the right suspension setup you won’t have any.

New shocks help a lot. I had different rear shocks installed with a 3.5”/1” lift and my bed bounce is gone by at least half probably more like 70% gone. The shocks I had installed are not the best either. If you were to get some ADS or Kings 2.5 w/ bypass and a pair of shackles you wouldn’t even have bed bounce.

I never really noticed bed bounce going over concrete bridges. I'll have to pay more attention.

I had a 2007 Double Cab....and the bed bounce was ridiculous! Over bumps...over bridges....over speed humps. I have a 2015 crew max now and there is zero bed bounce. I have the 3 inch front 1 inch rear leveling kit. Sure, every truck will have slight bounce in the bed if you hit a pot hole or similar. (I've seen the f-150 and f-250 hop all over the place after hitting a bump on the highway) But, most on here don't understand the severity of the early 2nd gen dbl cab tundra bounce. I know it first hand. They have corrected the problem in the later 2nd gens and 3rd gens.

I was in San Antonio last week and there was a stretch of concrete highway that I drove on. I definitely felt an annoying vibration. I didn't see the bed bounce or shake around, but the overall vibration made my eyes tired and it was hard to focus on the road. It was a weird sensation.

My DC on stock Bilsteins is annoying as fk. Working on re-vamping the rear suspension to fix that.

Had a 1st gen Tundra pass me on the highway a few months ago with the tailgate down and a loose couch in the back. About 5 miles later the couch was half in the road and the truck was backing up the shoulder to retrieve it. Stupid is as stupid does.

For myself, with the almost stock Pro suspension, I’ve never experienced a smoother ride. Washboard dirt, concrete highway joints, or potholes, it glides over it all. And the faster you go the smoother it gets. Most of the trucks I’ve owned needed 300 to 800 lbs on board to settle down and not jump. Especially bad with the HD trucks. I can’t speak to the problem on earlier Tundras but it’s nonexistent on my 2015.

My favorite is when you see a car with one on the roof and a hand out each window holding on to it.

Imagine Toyota offering that as a package on the sticker. "Bed Bounce Package $795"

But looks like its not a huge or serious issue as I initially thought which is good. I guess I'll be a little more careful should I ever go over bridges or hw with gaps. That commercial made it seem like the truck was going to bounce off the road.
