Can't post in the deals area, so feel free to move it...

I've been looking for a Compustar remote start system and stumbled on this on Slickdeals, so I pulled the trigger. Comes with Geek Squad installation if you're inclined to have them do it (which I probably will so i can blame someone if it doesn't work...). I'll end up watching them the whole time and picking their brains if they do something stupid.

It's not their best kit, and definitely not the bottom of the barrel. It's 2-way which i feel is s must, 3K feet of range, and plenty of upgrades available later on if you feel like it. Bought it so I could at least get in on the deal and since it's Best Buy I can always return it etc. At least I made a move in time for winter! Plus that's pretty cheap compared to multiple quotes i got around town.

FYI, the installation is only the "basic", if the installation is deemed "complicated", you will get charged a little more.

Yeah, I know, but from all the reviews I've read it wouldn't be by much and in most cases at all. I'll end up chumming with the guy/girl and tip em instead of paying extra. still a good deal for me.

A little of this and a little of that.
I think I saw that but I chose to go with the Viper remote start and alarm with SmartStart. I can control the alarm and remote start from the remote or my iPhone from anywhere I have cell reception in the world. I like that.

yep, I considered that as well. You can add the Drone module to this (it's a simple plug and play) and have the same thing. one mod I'll do down the road - it's only $89 on Jet.com + monthly subscription.

1 review stated he installed it on his 2016 tundra with nothing additional needed. I might go with this too. Thanks for the post!
