I've seen the Slee's up close. Very pricey but one of the best built sliders out there and fab'd here in CO. The folks at Slee know their stuff.

apart from the fact that lots of people out there have 38 gallon tanks... or wants one.

To Slee's credit, they mainly focus on the Land Cruiser crowd but they do know their stuff.

Sorry it was a tongue in cheek comment, I like them, they look great and functional too with being structural... Frustrating that *in my opinion* they designed around the wrong tank...

Seriously. I would so buy it if it fit the 38gallon and is bolt on. I like the fact that it makes a good step because that is priority to me for my daughter

I would go this route as well if they worked with the 38 gallon tank. I followed Slee stuff when I had my Land Cruiser.

It's quite possible that Slee may fab a slider set that will work with the 38 gal. Can't hurt to call them. Yes it's true that the FJ is their main focus. No shortage of FJ's here in CO. I see lot's of them with rock sliders. Not so with Tundra's. Bottom Line..

I've had my eye on SLEE. Just a matter of forking over the money.

don't fork over the money unless you know it works with your gas tank

I should have the smaller gas tank. Don't remember the size, but it shouldn't be the 38.

If you can't put in over 26 gallons..you don't have the 38. Like I stated previously....call Slee and if they can fab a set that will work on the 38...

I just read the Slee product description a bit more carefully and now see that they require drilling on the bottom of the frame. I'm out as I want a 100% bolt on slider. It looks like the SDHQ is still my top choice. If I didn't mind drilling I would go with White Knuckle.

100% bolt on doesn't necessarily get you the best mount points. Slee doesn't take short cuts. Yeah you may have to drill a couple of holes. Not rocket science...Unless you want to pay a Slee rep to come out and drill a couple holes for you.. Just sayin...

If you want to use them as a weight bearing slider, you either have to drill or weld. If you just want a step, save your pennies and get something cheaper.

SDHQ are 100% bolt on and seem to support the weight of the truck and are a functional slider unless I'm missing something

You are not missing anything. If you put out the scratch for decent bolt on sliders..... do the extra step..once they are bolted on....weld the mother frackers..............that's what I'll do if I ever need sliders....IMHO

I messaged them a while ago and they said it was in the works for the 38 gal tank. Not sure it's really a priority for them but I am impatiently patiently waiting for them. I have the GoRhino RB10 now but would like something that can take a hit. I also like the fact that it's an actual step and that's high on priority list for me and the fam. Maybe if we can show some more interest it will have them move this up in their priority list.
