I love fast type off-roading there’s no speed limit in the desert and I want to upgrade my suspension. I think with more travel it can do great in any type of terrain. I got kings f&r for now, help me choose.......

    1. 3.0 front coilovers with 3.0 bypasses in the rear(kings of course)

    2. Pair a 3.0 bypass shock with my current 2.5 for dual shocks up front then possibly deavers spring under in the rear with bumpstops or just a bypass in the rear stock length

    3. Total chaos long travel kit, camburg LT kit or mazzulla

Number 3 is the absolute last as it is expensive and if I want to keep my bed the cantilever option is even more moneys! More travel would be nice as well, how can I increase wheel travel without going full long travel? I know uni ball UCA’s add about an inch to travel, anything else? Thanks

Other than going with a upper and lower control arm swap in the front, you're not gonna achieve the desired travel numbers you want with just a UCA swap. TC, Camburg and Mazzulla all make a great product. Having had the Camburg kit on my old truck for 10+ years it eventually developed "The Camburg Creak". I've seen a Mazzula shock tower crack, but that guy was hammering his truck really hard.

As for the rear, a Deaver leaf pack and bypass will get you the travel without having to go with a cantilever setup. Anything more than 13-14" inches of travel I highly suggest installing a full rollcage. You start heading down a slippery slope after that.

More travel = more speed = more trouble you can get yourself into.

Good points mr baja, I've seen people running dual shocks up front with stock LCA so I might do that. I know my limits, I've ran my kings pretty hard and got a little airborne to where it sounded like i broke something but luckily the tundra still remains solid, i think ill stay with a good mid travel setup. Ive enjoyed going fast in the desert but i know the limits and I don't want a roll cage, at least not yet I might change my mind but mid travel is better i think cuz it won't increase the track width but is kind of a sacrifice. I know i want more travel but don't want the tundra to be wider, tundras are too big for LT so i might scratch that off the list, thanks.
