Above is very good info! I always ran hub rings of my aftermarket wheels on my cars. Without them you definitely could get vibration. In a truck with aggressive tires it is probably less noticeable, but on smooth street tires its a must.

So would you just run 116.5 to 110 rings as long as they fit with the hubcaps? I don't know anything about them.

What up dude! Thanks for giving me a ride ;)

Yeah if the hub bore is 116mm, you would add an adapter to fill the gap so it fits tight to our 110mm hub. But some guys say that methods have a center cap that gets in the way of the adapter. That would be a deal breaker for me.

Confirmed from Icon. The center cap will not fit with the hub ring because it is a push through style. So it is one or the other.

I'm reading about the hub bore difference when putting these rims on a 2017 Tundra 4x4. Is there an issue with this? Also what effect will running an inch smaller diameter wheel have on performance, Hauling etc? stock rims are 18 inch (known) thanks.. Reading above it appears that you would ,have to use an adapter to fill the additional space and using the adaptor gets in the way of using the cap, is this right? And without the adapter you would run the risk of vibration shimmy etc..

Running the smaller wheel doesn't have any affect with anything except maybe less rolling mass which isn't a downside. We have done quite a few on the Six Speeds on the Tundra without a single issue yet. I believe there are only a few hub centric wheels out for the Tundras.

Will these rims fit on a 2015 tundra with a 3/1 level kit? I want to put the 315/70r17 on my truck. I want to refrain from doing any trimming if possible.

i am considering these wheels and was wondering:
if i did the ome shocks with 612 springs (which gives about 2.5"-3" up front) could i still use these wheels with factory uca's and run
a 295/70/17 which is 33.5" and not do any trimming or chopping ? i really want 17" wheels and don't what to have to trim, chop, or get aftermarket uca's.

i just got a 2015 tundra limited and am trying to research this stuff some. i just sold my tacoma (longtime tacomaworld member) that i had for 10 years with icon extended travels, total chaos uca's, lots of trimming, body mount chop.

i am just trying to keep it simple on the tundra, lift it some, use factory ucas, and run 17".

This sounds like a good strategy. Post up some photos and ride impressions if you do it.

k, will do. I saw where the goodyear duratrac made a 295/70/17, was thinking of getting those, I got 50,000 plus on them on my Tacoma once. I then put cooper stt pro max on, I liked them better but they are a lot louder on the highway. it will probably be May when I do everything, but pretty sure that's what I will do.

I had another question about these, this might be dumb, but i would rather not find out the hard way cause i was about to order these.
I purchased a 2015 Limited, and it came with 20" wheels. Are the calipers the same size on all the tundras, just wanted to make sure before i ordered the 17".

I understand these are lug centric for Tundra. Is there a centering ring for these to make this hub centric? TO me, these are the best looking wheels on the market. About to purchase a stage 2 for the truck from Icon.

Ok, I didn't read through all of the messages. My bad. Anyhow, is all of this true about the center caps and such? I really want these, but only if they're hub centric.

The hub centric argument is ridiculous. It doesn't matter. Guys who wheel way harder than you ever will run wheels that aren't hub centric with zero issues. Install them correctly and don't think about it.
