I just traded my '13 Crewmax Limited on an '18 Crewmax Limited. My '13 had the premium JBL sound system with nav. My '18 has the premium JBL Entune system. Both have subs. If I cranked it in my '13, it would shake the mirrors! The sound was unbelievable from a factory system.
I was a bit disappointed when I cranked up the music in the new truck. If I had to give a guess, I'd say I get maybe 60% of the volume that I got in my old truck.
I'm wondering if there's a setting I'm missing, or something wrong with my system, or if Toyota just toned it down that much?
Has anyone else noticed the same thing? Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

No settings I am aware of. The JBL system does have good mixes between lows, mids, and highs, but no volume. I agree in that it is tuned down. I researched this a little when I bought my 1794. Taco tunes offers a great system, but you’ll have to replace pretty much everything but the head unit to get the mirrors shaking again. :hattip:

    Everything. Literally.
I had a similar problem when I got my truck. Took it to a local car audio spot and they gave it a once over and said that I had a fuse out in my internal amp, or something to that effect. Swapped the fuse and it was back to normal. Super easy fix. Took the shop about half an hour.
