I want one too. Am I out of luck since it's discontinued?

Hopefully it's discontinued because Toyota is looking into the issues being reported. Hopefully they will get it all figured out soon.

Ok. Now I don't want one. Good thing I won't need it for another year or so.

I just don't get it. My IBC works just fine pulling my race car on an open trailer with electric brakes, I better check my boots!

I have a 2015 platinum tundra and I am looking to hook up this trailer brake set up I do not see a cut out in the Dash where this set up would sit. Do you have to cut out the dash to install?

No, they sell the panel that fits it separately.

@Roman I'm looking to add the factory controller to my 2015 Tundra TRD Off-Road Limited. My Quick Reference Guide shows the controller but mine didn't come with it. I just ordered one using the links provided in this thread and included my VIN with the purchase. Hopefully that's all that is needed. Any installation resources you might have (youtube, detailed instructions, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

It's super easy to do. You basically pull the old panel, find the harness, plug it into the brake controller, attach the brake controller to the new panel and install it into the dash.

Thanks much. I have since watched some installs of other controllers and it does look remarkably straightforward. Appreciate the prompt reply.

I was worried about that when I bought my camper. Granted I have a small pop-up, but I upgraded its connector to the 7 pin so I can charge the battery. LSS, I was worried about that to since I haven't had anything plugged in, and sure enough, it started acting up. I just kept on clearing it since I don't have trailer brakes and it eventually went away. Figured it my have had to loose its shit for a minute until I can learn the trailer???

I have read that there is a TSB or update for the software now too.
