I finally did it! Thanks @pbcolt for the sale and meeting me halfway down I-5! I can't wait to see how much more light the light bar will throw some the opening on this grille is larger. Plus I love her new look!

A little of this and a little of that.

    Right!?!?

The only bad thing about getting her all cleaned up is she won’t stay that way. I have to dust her daily, and bath her once per week at least. I love white but maybe MGM or some other color would have been better? NOPE, white is right, and the fastest color to boot.

Didn't do anything but I did go to the Offroad Expo today. Stopped by theSDHQ booth and picked up the hood bulge Baja Designs LED bar mounting kit. And a jack extension.

Just have to figure out how to mount it properly.

$14 from Amazon. Comes with either blue or red lighting. With a blue truck, I went with the blue of course. After removing the stock cig lighter, I did have to expand the remaining hold about 1/8", but once I did that it fit perfect.

Thats cool. Do you have to remove the compartment to install this? How do you access the nut on the back?

csuviper has a great write-up on how to do this all with pictures. I used a slightly different piece, and used a step-drill instead of a Dremel, but basically the same thing. I also didn't cut the wires and replace with female connectors. Instead, I wired up a short connector with female on one end and male on the other. Could then leave the stock alone in case I ever wanted it.

Starting a build thread to distract from the build is a great idea.

I hope it works better for you than it did for us....

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/komodo-my-wifes-daily-driver.16989/

Full disclosure, the ‘build’ part of our story still resides on another Tundra forum until I can migrate it all over here.

I was worried about painting those pieces and it looking cheap afterwards. This actually looks awesome!

The back panel basically just lifts off. I open the consul and can lift enough with my fingers to get it to start to pull. You can also use a plastic prying tool. Close the lid and then lift the panel up and slightly back. It'll come right off. Putting on is just as easy. line up and give it a bit of press down and it locks in place.

20171001_002220.jpg 20171001_002346.jpg So I'm pissed. I ordered everything from quadratech since they in PA and thought I'd have it all for use yesterday. I got my daystar d ring isolators and the smittybuilt winch accessories bag with everything in it. But when it came to getting my factor 55 prolink and paying for it all as u can see here...
20171001_003152.jpg For some reason I ended up getting this instead.
20171001_002848.jpg I'm still trying to figure out how a ford/GM high performance thermostat is going to be of any use to me in place of the prolink, any use at all for that matter since I'm smart enough to only own Toyotas. I called them yesterday to express my dissapointment since I was planning to use the prolink yesterday while winching. I was told the products are next to eachother in the warehouse and I'll get my prolink on Tues since there was no other option to get out quicker to me and no manager there to speak to on Sat. Guess we'll see if they call me to make right tomorrow or if I must call and complain more to a manager. If I get some kind of credit toward my order I will forgive and forget the mixup and write it off to people not being perfect. If I get told to poss into the wind it will be my last order from them. Guess we'll see if they are willing to make right tomorrow.

Sometimes the little things make a big difference. Huge shout out to @Achuop for making my floor mats bad ass with some logo inserts!! Gave me 10 more HP too, haha!
