Decided to upgrade on the headlamp. And scopped up this one instead of the leases expesnsive model. 5 star reviews, I gotta have reliability in a lamp when in the woods.
This is the Alaskan guide 4aa XP lamp. Made in USA.

Shoes aren't all that boring. I just got two new pair of Red Wings and a nice kit box for all the shoe treatments I've collected.

I've got another pair of Red Wings that are still going after 30 years.

    edit- adding a pic:

These are 30+ years old, re-soled twice.

The brown ones are #606. The black ones are #607. Very soft and easy to break in. They aren't insulated since I'm inside all day, so they are only as warm as you are. Water resistant yes with the right treatment, water proof? No.
This is my second pair of black in 10 years. I only went new because I wore through the toe on one boot only- the repair on my broken leg doesn't let my ankle bend the same as the other. I spend a lot of time crawling on nasty casino floors.
I remember my dad had one of these shoe shine boxes when I was a little shit(versus the big shit I am now). This one is pretty nice, all maple, no crap wood.

Now you can love BassPro-Cabelas since they are both merging together, best of both worlds!

Slim G10 "grenade" pattern grips for my SP-01 Tac. I got some nice torx grip screws too but the tapered heads don't sit right in the new grips.

I prefer an aggressive, slim grip over as soft palm swell type. These are perfect.

No, it was the style with the flexible bands where it doesn’t grasp your head so strong.
