So, I'm sitting in the hotel. Partially watching TV. Mindlessly surfing. I started planning an audio overhaul. I have a couple of questions. Mostly around door panels and sound deadener. The plastic under the door panel. If you peel that off, do you replace with the sound deadener? Is the deadener water resistant enough to keep the water out? Do you need to cover the floor or is doing the doors and back wall enough?

Sounds deadener or at least dynamat would attach to the inside of the door skin... While it's apart of you can get some in the inside skin, that wouldn't hurt either but iris primary use as deadener is to go on the outer skin.

My camaro is thoroughly dynamatted and while it's still fairly loud, it's a lot quieter inside than outside!

This is where I got all my info when I did mine. Even if you don't buy from him all the info is there.

It was a pain in the ass but I'm glad I did it. I have some pics somewhere. Let me know if you have any questions.

I was looking at his stuff last night. He has a Tundra kit which is nice. What did you do with the vapor barriers on your doors?

They are held on by some tar like substance that was fairly easy to separate to get into the door cavity. After that I just put the barrier back up and went over the top with the MLV and CCF. His kits are pretty spendy for the Tundra and you could definitely save some money ordering from Amazon and piecing it together but he was so helpful in answering all my questions and willing to help anyway he could I went ahead and ordered the kit from him.

Here are a couple random pics....
