Purchased a '17 TRD Pro double cab just after Christmas last year. (Santa didn't deliver...so had to take matters into my own hands.) Found exactly what I wanted many states away...and used Frequent Flyer miles to fly out and drive back.

LOVE the Pro. May post, too, in the other forum for advice. Seems the prices for the '17 are going crazy high. Even for mine, with multiple coats of wax and 13k on the clock. Could probably sell her to someone for what I paid (got a good deal under MSRP) and get an '18 Limited with all the safety features.

Do you think, in the long run, the Pro will hold value like the Limited would? I TRULY love this truck (first new one I've ever owned...and I'm 50). Not sure all the safety is worth giving up this amazing truck.

    Cheers,
    Rhubarb

Welcome! Love that Barcelona Red Metallic. To answer your question ... it's a Toyota so it will definitely hold its value. The '17 Pro "asking" prices are sky high at some dealers, but most I have seen online are still selling at MSRP.

Welcome from CO. PRO or no PRO, Tundras hold their value. #5 vehicle with highest value after 5 years. Taco #1, I think 4R #3 or something. So you're good either trim.

I would keep it. They discontinued the Rock Warrior too, then came the TRD Pro. I would keep it, but I do feel like it's only a matter of time until the next off road special edition comes out.

I bought my 14' in November of 13' and there wasn't even a rumor of a TRD Pro. Oh how I wish I waited.....

Welcome. I'd stick with the pro. You can still add all the safety features if you want 'em. If you buy the limited you'll end up wanting to upgrade the suspension. At least that's what I did. The Pro is more unique.

WOW! Thanks for all the thoughts and comments!

I started saving when they first came out and pulled the trigger when I saw the Barcelona Red. The Cement and Desert both looked sharp and were more unique, but something about the Red just made me happy. First brand new vehicle I've ever owned....and wash every Saturday and wax every third.

Going to keep 'er and stop worrying. Once paid off (February) going to start with a few mods....and will be turning to you guys for advice. Being 50, not interested in a lift or anything, but would like better speakers, a remote start, and something harder to figure out....blind spot add-on.

Thanks again for the nice welcome to the group.
