I put it up for a friend to show him how well this site works vs the old BBS style site he has it listed on. The truck in the pic has the motor and such all gone through and mainly needs the body and interior done. He also has a second parts truck that is close enough to complete that one could build two trucks if they wanted. Was going to delete the post after I showed him how things worked here, but then figured Hey...it's a truck site, I'll leave it up just in case....this would be a fun toy, but given a choice I'd rather have the TR8 or the Amphibicar that he has in the shop!

BBS? Do you realize that there are only of few of us here that know what that is? heh heh. Why not call and also send pics to the American Picker boys? Sold ASAP I'm thinkin. They have the connections for THE person who has been looking for that truck. Hell the original fenders are worth major bucks. (Oh wait, doesn't have optional winch bumper.) JKing

Yep...BBS time was back in the 70's & early 80s when I Co-Sysoped D&R BBS in Diamond Springs, Ca. Back in the days when a 1200 baud modem was a screamer! I'll let him know about the pickers...he is going to move in a couple of years, has owned this since about High School and is now a 60's guy. Too many projects so he is sorting out a few. He has a mint TR8, even though I'm not a huge British fan, something about a small block in a sports car gets my attention! And it be a drop top. The 28 has been in a 40ft. container for a couple of decades so he figures it can go. It's a really cool truck and he has almost 2 of them.

(a former syssop'r) I would be nice to "almost" have just one of them. heh heh. I used to have a TR6. Was a real bitch to keep running. Very cool to drive when it ran. :cookiemonster:
