Perfect! The added bonus is that since the transmission is right between the cats the transmission is also protected when 4-wheeling.

Mine was $150 plus $45 shipping. The shipping seemed kinda steep, but it weighs 50lbs and was shipped via FedEx ground.

I did the same thing when I installed mine on my 2012 Crewmax. My son-in-law used to work for OR-FAB and I got mine for free back in 2014.

I have an ORFab cat theft trans skid from my '05 Tundra sitting. Been collecting dust since November. Impossible to ship without a commercial deal, the shipping would cost me more than the original price new!

Been trying to sell it locally for months, no bites. :(

I had to modify my RCI engine skid, and the KW tranny skid. No big deal, little bit of this-

some drilling, cutting and touch up. In hindsight not sure it’s worth it, would just buy the matching skid next time.

I just had to pay $700 to Toyota to replace both my O2 sensors on my 14 tundra because someone started to steal my catalytic converter and must have been spooked away.
All they did was cut my wires which apparently requires the sensors be replaced.
I am in Sacramento suburb Folsom which is supposed to be a nice area. I am going to get one of these skids plates asap.

KW, are you still around? Are these skids available for a 2005 DC?

    Thanks!

Hey guys just saw this post about cat theft. Anyone else buy a plate from Off-road dessert eagle? Sucks that I keep reading ads on my neighbors app saying people are getting hit. Wondering how the plate is holding up?

I've had one for a couple years now. It's held up very well and seen a LOT of off road miles.

FYI, the last quote I received on this was $295 shipped, so the price went up a bit since this thread first posted. Still cheaper than replacing your cats.

Wow I just placed my order and I got my confirmation from Fed-ex and the business owner saying I should have it Friday. Guy told me he personally drove it to fed-ex himself. I had just text him and told him I just paid him thru paypal saying he's a friend so he wouldn't get charged extra and he went out of his way and made sure my package got to fed-ex today. Great customer service so far. Will keep everyone posted

That's why I havn't purchased the TRD skid plate. I figured would be a hassle to modify one of them to fit with the other.

If your referring to the guy I used I didn't find him on craigslist he actually has a webpage. His name is Kent and his number is (214) 287-8960. He can talk but seems like a really cool guy. He's out of Texas too. He's also on FB under Desert eagle off-road
