1st gens have the same six lug wheels as tacomas. Offset may be different depending on the years.

I'm aware of that. I just want to know the offset of the wheels and tire sizes. These wheels are TE37 16x8 but I don't know the offset.

Anyone know the stock weight of a Gen 3 TRD off road wheel and tire? Just wondering how much I will be gaining per corner going with aftermarket wheels and tires. Any info is greatly appreciated!

I'm trying to set up a 2013 double cab for my son for his 16th birthday. I don't have a clue what I'm doing. I do know that the wheels are 18" x 9". I want to put Toyo AT II's on it. But all this talk of offset and backspace is confusing for an old fart like me. I have read this thread 3-4 times and I'm still just as dumb as I was to start. Can someone point me in the right direction. The closest shop that can set me up is a 3 hour drive away.

275 or 285. Just don't want to have to hack on the truck if they rub. But I will take any and all suggestions. I'm new to this sort of thing.

I'm assuming either 275/65, 275/70 or 285/65? I doubt you'd have to do a CMC, unless the wheels are a negative offset. And if ya do need to push liners forward or do a CMC, it's not a big deal man. Just buy the prefabbed plates from Relentless and find a shop that'll do it.

The wheels I like are XD Hoss and are +18. I will be putting fender fares on later so they need to stick out of the fenders a little

I have +18 on my 295/70r18 and they do NOT go beyond the fenders. f988fabb0362cc15f1ff60b37f7cd887_db4083726eeced2e31cb932bc4d5d9d0f11a585e.jpg1e4712fee6def38009834a4051b8aa3c_b38fa5f66e2450b8081af24ac4ea3f316283501c.jpg50d8bf888e054fecefa354f4c1228775_cc232a335e4d11ff54a7958dbb540cf1a9853321.jpg

Based on what I've seen on here you probably won't need it, +18 seems to be about perfect for minimal or no clearance mods. And they'll be right about even or just inside the flares from what I've seen.

On mine however... taking a turn and hitting a dip at the same time... the front tires hit the inside of the fender

Thanks for the input. Trying to set up a truck for a 16 yo is a lot tougher than I thought. Fiestee23, yours has the look that I'm chasing. The bumper looks great

Hey all, I bought myself a 2014 DC sr5 Trd off road earlier this year, and the time has finally come to do a leveling kit and some rims/tires. I've got the toytec 3/1 leveling kit, and I picked up a set of 35Ă—12.50r18 bfg ko2's as well. As far as wheels go, I really like the look of fuel hostages. I'm going with the 18Ă—9, but I have two options for the offset; either +20 or +1. Just wondering which will work the best with my setup.

Go with +20. I'm inclined to think the +1's will rub like hell.

Soooooo, how close are you to rubbing? I'm looking at those exact tires, with an 18x9 +18 wheel, buuut I really only want to do 5100's in the front, and don't particularly want to mess with the rear at all...

I've been looking at leveling mine but don't want to get too crazy bc it's 4x2, did you only do the front of yours?

I have a question more than a reply along with my thread I'm looking to basically make my truck resemble the Rutledge Wood tundra with the leveling and stance it has any idea how to get what that truck has in terms of leveling and what it has for flares/ tires and rims sizes?

I didn't do anything to the rear and they are fine back there. Front required a little bit of fab. The front inner fender was pushed in but I still have a little bit of rub when reversing while turning. Nothing to crazy but I'll have to fix it eventually.

Looking at the initial specs in this thread with tire sizes/lift kits and the relative tire size options based on the info, I think I fit right in between some of the specs. I'm trying to put the largest tires (G2's) on a set of 18's. Specifically XD 778's +18's. If I put Bilstein 5100's all around, the lift is 2.4in. in the front I believe. So, I have it from several sources that I can put 285/65/18's on, but is anyone running anything larger that didn't require trimming? I'm wondering if I can go as large as 295/70 or 295/75? Thanks!

I'll let others chime in, but I don't believe you can get that large on Bilstein without requiring some sort of trimming/modification. It seems as though the guys on 5100's top setting can fit 295/70s with removal of mud flaps and moving the fender liner in.

I'd add shims if you want to go for 295/70's, or just settle for 285/65's this round and upgrade to a 3/1 when they wear out. No one makes a 295/75 that I know of, the next size up from that is 305/70-18.

Hi, I've been reading through the posts here and am trying to figure out what is the biggest tire I can put on my 2017 crew max with 20" wheels. After 4000 miles the crap Bridgestone tires it came with got a puncture in the sidewall. I'm not looking to change wheels or do any modifications right now. Just want a more reliable and aggressive looking tire for Pennsylvania's seasons.

You have 275/55 now? If you have the platinum or limited wheels, you can go 285/55 or 275/60. If you have any of the special edition wheels, you can go 295/55.
