I was going to finish installing the rest of my Bud skids this evening but one of the hex heads was super tight and super soft. It is now round. I imagine the alignment guys dropped the skids the other day and cranked it when they put the bolt back in. What's the best way to get that thing out of there? It has a rounded head and sits flush with the skid.

If those don't work you will have to drill it completely out. make sure to use a smaller bit than the threads.

Yup that's the only way. Use left handed drill bits if possible. Start with small drill bits and work your way up. Might need to tap new threads also

Weld a flat washer to the top of the bolt, then weld a nut to the washer, put wrench on nut and turn

If it's that tight this could and probably will be the only option. Drilling it out might be dicey and destroy internal threads.

I'm going to give the star key method a try later this afternoon. Side note, I did trade a few emails with Bud asking about the size of the bolt. He replied with the size but then said he would pop a few in the mail this morning so I wouldn't have to go hunting around. Pretty awesome and very much appreciated.
