What's up guys i just recently installed a pyvideo backup tailgate camera onto my rosen piranha multimedia stereo and i got it all working and wired up but I cant seem to get it to turn on automatically whenever I switch into reverse and I figure I have to find the reverse wire in the front of my 2012 Tundra Crewmax but I have no idea where it is or which wire it would be. Any tips on how to do this is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance for anyone who answers.

I ran a wire from the head unit back to the reverse tail light wire to get mine to work. I too couldn't find the reverse wire in the cab of my 2004 Tundra

I did that too to power my backup camera but the stereo system itself has a reverse wire that needs to go to the reverse wire at the front of the truck so it knows when the truck is put into reverse because my stereo cant switch automatically with it just being powered up if that makes sense

Edit* Beware. I installed a 50 dollar back up camera license plate mount with my kenwood and tried using it first time in the dark without testing it at all and turned too sharp right and dented on a fence post the passenger side bed side. 1k later had it fixed back to normal.

I just bought one of those reverse wire kits that just makes the radio think you wired it to the e brake wiring. Works fine for me. Not sure if that's what you are after though. I got mine from Amazon.
