    Hey all,
I know a lot of people on here have the spyder projector headlights. I want to hear what kind of bulbs everyone is running and some reviews of their setups. LEDs? HIDs? Anyone have Hikari LEDs from Amazon? Any brands recommended, or brands to stay away from?

    Wive's tale...
HIDs haven't melted anything and they are a good 60% brighter than stock SPYDERS.

The only thing I've had to do to course correct was turn the bulb 1/2 turn after initial install. For some reason the passenger side was shooting down and left. I also hooked them up to the leveling motors so don't tell anyone the SPYDERS can't use it

Shoot a PM to David @ToyTec Lifts and see if there is currently a forum discount. It comes and goes but he can help you if you decide to use them for your needs, which I recommend

right on, thanks man. Did you need a harness, or is the ballasts straight to the existing plugs enough?

Straight to existing plugs. Took a total of 30 minutes for both if you have any experience with lights and clips. Everything you need is in the box if you get what I linked you to. Also, David @ToyTec Lifts will respond to this thread once I tagged him if you're unsure as to how to PM him.

Yeah I've installed multiple HID kits before. I've just never installed them in aftermarket projectors before. I'm positive I'll be buying the spyders. Just wanted feedback on LED vs HID. Thanks @Almaboy , awesome info.

Can't speak to the LEDs but lots of guys are running the HIDs and I haven't heard any complaints. Mine are surprisingly bright enough and I live and drive some very dark roads
This is the post with all of my light output

I'm running DDM 35w plug-n-play HIDs in mine, no problems.

I have fender chop, so whatever I install need to withstand water and snow exposure. Still looking for help

I'm guessing that out the box, these spyder projectors will need to be realigned/properly aimed. Has anyone done this without being 25ft away from a wall? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who doesn't have a long driveway?

Yup. Not hard. On my install, and about 5 ft behind a car, the lights weee aimed at their liscense plate.

    Now perfect.

Mine were dead on out of the box. I just backed out of my garage, marked the stock lights on the wall with some painters tape, then changed out the lights. To my surprise, when I turned them on, they were dead on out of the box.
