They were one of the reasons I decided to buy this truck instead of waiting for the Platinum.

Some good news, I had The 4x4 Shop look at my truck to see what it would take to make some skids and they said it would be PRICEY to start from scratch. I had them look at the RCI skids that I wanted to get and their Fabricator said he can modify them to make them fit  I just ordered the Tranny/Transfer Case skid and the 38 gallon Fuel Tank skid in Aluminum. It's going to take 3-4 weeks but I'm finally going to have some skid plates. Another check off the list.

My Tundra is finally aligned correctly and my new surprise is that I need to do a body mount chop now:annoyed: That means that from day 1 when I bought the truck it was NEVER correctly aligned. If it was then the 37's would have hit the body mount. It's not a big deal but come on. I looked for it when I bought the truck and the tires never rubbed, now I know why. This must be part of the learning process. I'll have it taken care of when my skid plates come in.

My Skid plates just came in. I received an email that the fuel skid was going to take an extra 3 weeks because of problems with their Aluminum company. I guess everything was worked out so I wasn't expecting them yet. I still need to order the brackets. The Relentless cab mount plates are on the way so when everything comes in I'll make an appointment at The 4x4 Shop to have the TT skid modified to fit and have the Cab mount chop done. Here are a couple of pics of the Aluminum TT skid and the 38 gallon fuel skid.

Body mount chop done and skids installed. The 4x4 Shop did an awesome job. The body mount chop looks factory. If I didn't see the way it originally looked I would have thought it came from the factory like this. The RCI Trans/Transfer skid was modified to fit around the bars of the Pro Comp lift. The Fuel skid needed no mods. Both of the skids are Aluminum. Here are some pics.

It's been a while since my last post on this thread. On Saturday I ordered the N-Fab tire carrier for the bed. It will be a nice solid mount for the full size spare. It's low profile will keep it hidden under the Tonneau cover. I just made an order with SDHQ. I finally ordered the hidden bedside support system and the Air intake pump relocation kit. Now I'm going to have a bunch of stuff to install. I think we need to have a Mod install party my fellow Bay Area members.

I finally had the energy and time to do some work on the Tundra. I installed the SDHQ ABS guards and the hidden bedside support system. I had to use the Dremel to grind down the cast steel and the guard on the front passenger side to make it fit. This was a Pro Comp problem. I only did the Driver side for the bedside support. I took my time but 5 hours was my limit for today. The Bed side support system is rock solid. I included a Pic of the stock fender support which is pathetic. I still have a lot of things to install but I'm glad I got to accomplish some of it today. Here are some Pics.

I haven't been able to work much on the truck lately but my front & rear bumpers finally arrived. It will be awhile before I install them. I need to order all the LED lights for them now. Here is what I received. Stay tuned.20180626_153919_resized.jpg 20180626_153949_resized.jpg 20180626_153959_resized.jpg 20180626_154007_resized.jpg 20180626_154012_resized.jpg

It has been WAY TOO long since I made a post on my own thread. I still need to mount my new Bumpers:facepalm:I don't like to make excuses and I want to do it myself so I can have the experience but I'll just say that I live with pain on a daily basis and I still need to work my job with a lot of overtime. My goal is to get everything installed before Memorial Day. I did just install my new LCA Skids. I also have the Diff Skid but the weather really sucks right now so I'm taking a lunch break. The LCA Skids look and feel really durable. Here are some Pics of them installed.

Here is the Diff Skid from Victory 4x4 installed. To get the last bolt on the driver side tube connection was a PITA. Here are some Pics. I also have a side view shot of the connection at the driveshaft that you don't see in the install video.
