Hello all, new to the community, although I have been lurking for a few days now checking out everyone's builds and ideas. I can't wait to get started on modifying my new rig. I think I finally decided on the toytec boss suspension system, but I would like some input on the comparison between the boss and the ultimate. I can't tell if there is much of a difference. I have the adjustable 5100 bilsteins with fj cruiser springs (front), and toytec superflex lift springs and bilstein 5100 (rear) on my 4runner, so I'm familiar with the bilstein 5100s. I just don't know how they compare with the shocks in the boss package. So here are a couple pics of the new ride. First one is on the dealer lot:

Second shot is a couple days later. Loaded up and headed to Mammoth.

Thanks guys. It seems like a way better forum here. A lot more friendly and real compared to T4R.org and Toyota120.com. @Sean266 I've read several times that you like your boss setup, but I also know that you and @csuviper are friends and he has the ultimate correct? I'm sure the two of you have ridden in each other's trucks at some point, so what's the skinny? How do the two setups compare? Either one have a better ride than the other? Which setup is a better quality? Which setup will last the longest? Pros and cons of each would be nice. Thanks in advance.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
I spoke with Miles at Toytec tonight and asked him pretty much this question. He said the ride quality is the same between the two. Shocks are very similar. They got the opportunity to add their adjustable coil over setup to the boss shocks and took it. The con to the bilsteins is that they are on backorder a lot because they are popular. That's about it.
I have ridden in Sean's truck but only to listen for noises. Not enough time to compare the two.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I knew about the problem with the bilsteins being on backorder a lot. It took me forever to get them when I wanted them for the rear of my 4runner. I think I will go with the boss setup for the tundra, and probably replace the front coil overs on the 4runner with the same when the time comes. I have a slightly used set on the front of the 4runner right now anyway, because it was all I could afford and find at the time. Really appreciate you going out of your way to talk to one of the guys from toytec. Didn't mean for either of you to do that. I just thought the two of you might have some first hand knowledge about it. Thanks again.
