So received the standard budget yesterday. Finally slapped it on today. And wow!

Here is my best description for the short test drive I did today.

8" - sport exhaust with nice low rumble.

Budget standard - muscle car sound. Kinda reminds me of how a 5.0 mustang sounds like with straight pipes. But still has zero drone!!!! It is definitely much louder but in a good way. I will update more as I put more miles on it.

Little teaser startup video with a couple 2k rpm throttle blips in the garage lol

:( I wanted to hear your truck with the 8" on it. I think you were the closest to me with that setup. .......I think the 8" standard is the one I want, just can't swing it quite yet.

@Tundra4us has the 8" also. He is in the peninsula somewhere. the 8" is very nice sounding system. Just not as aggressive as I wanted it to be.

Sounds nice. So it's basically a system with resonators and no mufflers?

I'm always down to make a deal!

yup.. straight pipes that mate to the tail pipe and you install his helmholtz resonator on the tail pipe. I gotta say it sounds badass! No wonder he gets his name #BAMuffler

@Tundra4us for sure! Drove it for about an hour today. And I really like it. It's very mellow when just cruising under 2k rpms but the more throttle u give it, the better it sounds! Absolutely no drone and it was wife approved! Pretty much what the sound I was chasing for. But there is some rasp for those that done like rasp, but I don't mind rasp myself.

Doesn't the BA stand for Bay Area?

I haven't installed the resonator yet and plan to do so tonight after work. Was it as easy as it looks? I'm thinking 30 min tops...?

    Bad Ass!

Make sure you use a sharp hole saw and use a slow drill speed. Most of the work is that and dropping the spare. I say 45 mins if you take your time. but it's easy work.

Using some cutting oil can help, too. I just used a liberal amount of 3-in-1 multipurpose oil and cleaned out the cuttings frequently. When my drill battery died, I finished with a dremel and cutoff wheel.

Welp, didn't drop the spare and apparently my bit and hole saw might have been made for wood.... Thing disentegrated. Ended up using the largest bit I had along with the largest step bit.. Made about 1.5" and said screw it and slapped the resonator on... It's so quiet now under normal acceleration, oem-like.. Still sounds good if you smash the gas, but I almost regret it.. Overall I will like the lack of drone and the cleaner sound.

Oh, the high pitched squealing noice from the drilling was terrible. Had to break out my shooting muffs lol.

So there is a noticeable difference with the resonator on? I talked to Keith this week and ordered a block off plate so I can take the resonator off mine. $40 shipped for the stainless, $35 for aluminized.

I installed my 8 inch system Tuesday just got back from a road trip to Cali and was nice the cab noise was not bad at all. Had wife and kids with me and no complaints from them about it being noisy. I did not install the resonator. Almost did thne 10 inch system but glad I didn't. Sounds bad ass.

Budget dumped is one of the louder ones. That one doesn't connect to the rail pipe.

OK guys and gals, time for a short review. I installed my 10" stainless steel system on July 25th and am very impressed. Since installation, I have had a chance to drive in all kinds of conditions from local 45MPH all the way through highway speeds at 85MPH (yes, we have speed limits that go to 85). There is absolutely no drone, but a nice throaty, mellow note while cruising and very aggressive sound when I hit the pedal to WOT! This is exactly what I was looking for. Just a little louder and more throaty than stock. Thanks Keith! @dirtydeeds

PS. Resonator installation: I followed the directions in Keith's video to remove the tailpipe in order to drill the 2" hole for the resonator. Test fit and marked while in place, then removed it to drill and then reinstalled and assembled the resonator. I didn't have to do anything with the spare tire...oh, and used a hole saw meant for use with metal...cheers!

I've had my 8" on for a couple weeks now. I'll be removing the resonator tomorrow just to see how much of a difference it makes. Definitely getting 2-3 more mpg. Made a 325+ mile round trip from Vernal, UT up Mirror Lake Highway east of SLC. Lots of mountain climbing over 10,000 feet (sounds great going up hills). Averaged 19.2 mpg on the round trip. I also have a topper and aftermarket bumper that add a chunk of weight.

I had my 6" standard system installed yesterday. I will say I am super happy with it. At idle, or even cruising RPMs 1500-1750 it is about the same as stock. While accelerating and going into the 2500RPM range really kicks out a nice deep tone. Satisfied customer!

I've had the resonator off my 8" standard for about a week now. Sound is awesome. Drones a little at highway speeds, but nothing annoying.

I didn't like how the factory clamp fits on Keith's exhaust so I ordered this trying to find something better.
Vibrant 1491C Stainless Steel Quick Release V-Band Clamp https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001P28WK2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_KnFOzb33YTJN1

This one is a lot more robust and really secures the pipes together. It's easier to install and remove also but it is a little pricey. Fit's really good and there are no leaks so far.
