These OEM's look okay but the output is quite shitty, what's best way to go for an HID or LED upgrade?.I do want too inprove overall look, but I want to gain better output as well..Ive been looking at these spyders..they look sweet but some reviews say they leave a large gap, can anyone vouch....Im anal about lines/gaps ...

I got the spiders. I was able to set the amber light and LED strip as my DRL and converted Projector to 5000k HID which gives it a factory look. I m also changing the amber bulb to switch back so it's stays on as white and changes to amber when the turn signals are on.

I m pretty happy with it so far.

Retrofits. Or wait 'til someone figures out how to wire the new 2018 led headlights into the '14-'17 models.

Retros if you're concerned with output. A little pricey but worth it.

I'd wait to see what one of our more enginuitive members comes up with to make the 2018's fit on the gen 3's.

If you want better output immediately with no changes to the housings and little to no glare, get the Philips Ultinon LED bulbs. Several members here have them (including me) and I've been nothing but pleased. Huge performance improvement over stock. Never been flashed by oncoming traffic and my motors are level (at the 0 setting).
$250 online though you can find deals on the site for 20% off plus free shipping occasionally (that's what I did). Xenondepot dot com is where I got them.
As easy as swapping the bulbs.

I don't have much problem with the OEM headlights, I do quite a bit of driving in the early morning since my commute starts at 0530 and rarely have to use my high beams and I drive 12 miles on dark country roads. It's not like I need to make the road look like daylight to drive it safely.

I went with the Spyders and then used the @ToyTec Lifts HID plug and play.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
I did HID's in stock housing. Just like my 2008 Tundra. I left it in the stock headlight so I can still use my headlight adjustment with towing.

HID will be the brightest. In my state there are no laws in regards to using HID bulbs in stock housing as long as they are pointing at the road. They use HID bulbs in city vehicles where I live.

Anyway I have attached a pic showing the HID in stock headlight assembly.

    Good luck!

I have been playing with my lights and relays all day today. I got the spyder lights and I m pretty happy with the brightness. U can see these pics for brightness. Here is what I was able to accomplish. I don't know if anyone has done it to the spyder yet

    1. (No click) My DRL (amber led bulb) and LED strip in spyder stays on
    2. (One click) And it keeps the amber and LED strip the same but also turn on side marker (parking light)
    3. (Two click) and it turns on my HID and amber DRL changes into white. LED strip turns off now.
    4. For my turn signal, amber LED and LED strip blinks at the same time.

My lights are as bright as OEM lights (5000k). I m pretty happy with it. I was thinking retrofits but that's expensive for me at least..,
