Well, eventually you'll get exhaust and won't need the stereo system. And yes, it's not the prettiest to have a lift and stockies but if that's the route you have to take, so be it. I'd still go that route than trying to save for it all and possibly never happening.

Yeah, at least I do have the slightly upgraded tires with the TSS package, so more of an off road tire, and slightly larger than regular stock, I think anyway.

I think I remember reading on here that the amp under the passenger seat can be replaced/ upgraded and that really makes a considerable difference. Then you can upgrade speakers and drive amp a little harder.

So get the lift, and the amp.
    Then wheels/tires and speakers.

Wes, I'd go with the Boss Kit and for the meantime add a set of Bora wheel spacers to get you to the +1 or -12 offset you desire. Once you've done this you'll have an idea of what offset you want in the future and can off load the spacers when you purchase your wheels.

I would call it limited self-restraint as I am waiting for the factory tires and suspension to wear out before an investment in an upgraded suspension and tires.

Don't do anything half assed. You will regret it.

All relative to cash flow, and your disposable income. If you have a solid cash flow and disposable income I would consider the TT Boss 3/1 plus install and alignment unless you do it yourself.

If you don't have enough of either and as you said can't afford it, a caution flag on the "consumer debt" rabbit hole, it can swallow those with the "wanties" pretty dam fast. I saved and waited until my first set of tires were worn out before I upgraded to the Boss 3/1 and bumped up to 33's.

    FWIW...good luck in your decision!

Oh it's taken a lot of self-restraint, trust me. Technically I do have the money to do it all now, but I've been waiting, doing the "adult" thing, ha. That's another reason I think I want to do the lift and wheels in steps instead of all at once.

I appreciate your opinion. At least there are a couple guys in here with their heads on straight, haha. I would agree and that's why I've waited this long. The reason I'm considering the two are because I have about $900 of the $1200 from a gift card, so it wouldn't hit me much. You do bring up a good point though, getting it installed. I have a buddy who can do it/help but not sure when he'd ever be available. Need to call around and get some prices on doing it. I love doing a lot of my own stuff on my truck, but not sure I'm confident in doing this one myself. I think I'm also going to wait on tires until I wear these out.

Did you do the Boss kit, or the TU3 or whatever the part number is? I know you and a lot of other people have run spacers without an issue, but man they still scare me, ha. I'd be that person that would have his tire come off rolling down the highway, ha.

Wes, since I purchased my Tundra with the TRD package (I wouldn't have if I knew I was going to catch the mod bug) and I didn't want to waste the money I spent on that package, I went with the Toytec TU3 leveling kit. When it's time to upgrade the upgraded Bilsteins shocks, I'll do so with a set of coilovers and then sell off the TU3 kit.

As for the wheel spacers ... this is my second go around with them. First with Spidertrax and my OEM wheels and now with Bora and my Fuel wheels. Not going to blow smoke up your backside ... while I feel comfortable using them, I still watch my mirrors and try to feel for any wobbles that might indicate an upcoming issue. I can tell you that the Spidertrax came equipped with a small bottle of Loctite red and it was no joke breaking the tension on the mounting nuts when it came time to remove the spacers. With the Bora's I opted to go with the Loctite blue. If you follow the thought of rechecking your torque after the first 50-100 miles and then after whenever you rotate or have a wheel off, you should be fine.

Here’s what you do.. get the lift, sound system and go ahead and get the wheels/tires also.. charge them to a credit card, then go get another credit card that has zero percent interest for 18 months or so and transfer the balance to the no interest card, then just pay it off within the year and a half.. ;)

Definitely a sound system upgrade. I can't hear shit when the windows are down, stragely enough though I can still hear my wife yapping about how much i paid for the truck. Anything that would drown that out would get my vote
