Yup, just the dip, no sealer or top coat. I waited until I was done to get what over spray there was. I learned quick to use more newspaper and eliminated all the over spray. Use a toothpick to get the dip out of the crevasses, it won't scratch your paint. Wait 15-30 minutes between coats.

Awesome, I appreciate the tips. I was worried about over spray sticking

I'll be honest, it freaked me out when I first saw it, but it came off very easy. BTW, I also dipped my grill and it came out great.

A lot of people have said that my badge looks pink, but it's just the picture. It is a deeper red in person.

Looks good, definitely can tell it's red. Did you use anything to help remove it or just the terry clothe? Just getting ready because I know my OCD lol.

I removed the entire front grill and the badge to dip them. It really wasn't that difficult, but it did take most of the day. Again, 7 thin coats and it still looks good today. Sorry, the pictures loaded up out of order.

No need to. Just use a toothpick to remove plasti dip. It is easy and it won't scratch the paint.

So you basically scored around the inside of the letters with a tooth pick while the paint was simi dry and then lifted it out as it setup? No sticking? I was wondering if a careful thin coat of Vaseline.. Sounds like you had no issue with it though.. Thanks btw for the post.. the alternatives seem to be problematic..

Look up plasti dip on YouTube and it will show how it works. I just did my badges and plastidip goes on like spray paint but peels off. Just look up plastidip tundra and there are videos.

Not a problem. When I did my 5.7 badge I used a tooth pick around the 5.7 badge after every spray because I was having bad luck when I peeled it off. It kept pulling part of the top and my OCD wouldn't allow it to stay that way lol.

I have a 14 CM TSS. I took my grill off and good bulge. Body shop scruffed it, applied acid primer, an adhesive then color match paint. I also had them do the center emblem. Much better than chrome. He is charging $300 and I don't have to worry about peeling dip

For those wanting black emblems, check out the truck bed liner in an aerosol can. It's made by duplicolor. I had sprayed my toyota grill emblem with plastidip & black paint but both chipped away. This stuff is tough. Been on there for several months & still looks perfect. I'm going to spray my badges next. It does have a small amount of texture.
