I am an accountant. I better golf.

I am terrible though. Need to play more often than ~5-10x a year.

 

While it's not Quail Hollow and the PGA Championship, here's where I was a few weeks ago ...

I love the game, and I wish that I was able to play more than I do.

I grew up playing with Lanny & Bobby Watkins in Richmond Virginia.

 

You gotta make time Rex. I'm in the same boat. Just gotta make that tee time and go haha

 

I hear what you are saying and I have the time, but recovering from surgery to my right elbow and left shoulder a couple years ago, and the subsequent loss of muscle memory have become a major set-back. Nothing feels right, and I've lost 50 yards off the tee.

I'll be heading out next Monday through Thursday on my annual golf outing. Nothing but the guys without the wives

Used to play a bunch in high school on the golf team. Now I just get out about 1-2 times week and currently play to about a 9-10.

 

Went out and swung the sticks today . It wasn't real pretty. Me, my neighbor Greg and his dad. Had decent weather, but wind was blowing good. At Nags Head Golf Links that spells trouble . Had a few after round beverages . Had a few blood oranges from 21st Amendment . ABV 7.0 IBU 70%. SALUTE

 

Love golf!
Try to play 3-5 times a month depending on work.

Yes Capt Tyler . Go Ricky Fowler . I agree it will test ya. It's always that great shot you hit that kicks you back into it.

 

Yeah Mark it's tough when the wind is howling. I've went out there and shot a 85 then go out today and shot a wonderful 96. It's a brutal game, but gets me out the house.

I play to a seven handicap. I love the game. I’ve been play for 30 years. I piss a lot of money away on the game but whatever. Courses in Colorado are expensive. Here’s how I keep my swing going in the winter.

Not sure who I want to win more. Fowler or Lefty. Love both of them. Love that last 4 holes of this tourney!

 

The simulator is not great. I’m saving for a real simulator.
I’m a huge Tiger fan. Watched him change the game in so many ways. He has his issues but if you just look at the golf side nobody in history was more clutch than him. I’m glad he’s back.

 

Hey captain, I’m also a hard core fly fisherman. Nothing like you see down in Florida I’m sure.

 

I love the sport, especially if I can walk the course... I hate cart golf.

Health & family matters have prevented me from playing the game for many years, I hope to get back out there soon.

Golf & fishing...doesn’t get much better than that.

 

Nice pics of the courses on here....I bought a set of Ping Eye 2 's back in 94.....had a set of Nicklaus clubs prior to that for a few years....use to Golf religiously at least 3 times a month....usually 27 , sometimes 36 holes per outing....Bandon Dunes is just a 20 minute drive from where I use to live....mainly played Coos Country Club. I LOVE playing golf. Me and my buddy once went to Eastern Oregon for a weekend and played 54 holes Saturday...and 63 holes Sunday....since I've moved up to Portland 6 years ago , I've played maybe 8 times ....Nice thread Ron

 

I love golf, though I’m not remotely good at it. I believe my best ever score was around 97. I actually shot a 41 on the back nine a few years ago, after shooting over 60 on the front. I don’t know what the hell happened that day. It was one of the worst nine’s of my life, followed up by the best.

That back nine included hitting one in for Eagle from about 115 out.

 

My best score for 18 holes was a 77...around 17 years ago...best round of my life....use to be around 11 handicap...probably 20 + right now

 

The only time I ever scored an eagle in my life was during a round when I scored two eagles 9 holes apart. The Ranch golf course in San Jose ... 7th hole from 118 yards out and the 16th hole (a short par 5 which I actually thought was a par 4) from 15 inches out.

 

Golfer : A mildly demented man who carries with him an assortment clubs with which to hit his balls.

 

I like fishing and drinking beer on golf courses if that counts. Some big bass in some of those ponds!
