So…. My friend and shop owner that works on my truck and other vehicles. Did a drain and fill on my tundra with Mobil dm atf . Just a drain and fill. When I specified amsoil be used. I know it’s not the WS. But was told it’s compatible. But is the Mobil dm fluid that’s a synthetic blend ok in the trans? I really don’t know what to do. I guess don’t take your vehicle to a friends shop for service.

Why would your friend put in Mobil when you requested Amsoil? At this point, do an ATF flush with WS compatible fluid. If your buddy does it, provide the ATF yourself.

When I go to a shop to have something done (rarely), if I specify the way something or products are used and it isn't....probably the last time I would go there for service. Nothing personal. You choose what and how your vehicle is maintained.

Amsoil sig series ATF is compatible. Ive ran it for the last 100k miles.

The stuff your guy used isn’t. You do you, but I'm doing a full fluid exchange in your shoes.

Lot of people on here panic over doing a full exchange over old wives tales but it literally takes 30 min in your garage with basic tools. Get the 4 quarts of wrong stuff out along with the 8 quarts of old/dirty fluid too.
