Interface Between 7pin Trailer Output & Input Harness

    Asking to see if anyone knows how to remove the pictured black socket the grey harness plug leads to.

    Also trying to find a direct connect interface for that area so I don’t have to splice or tap any wires. Trying to install reverse fog lamps onto the hitch bar itself.

    That interface harness with Deutch connector is what I need but without that led or price.

    Going to use two six inch Sylvania light bars for the reverse (mounted onto lateral two hitch bar with stainless clamps). It will hug the rear underside nice and tight without looking out of place.

    I just used a positap on the REV wire in the trailer harness and covered it well with electrical tape.
    Made my own ground with a self-tapping screw.
    No issues after 3 years...

    Thanks everyone for your input. It helped me decide on the following.

    The underside of the rear plastic on both ends of the bumper has en elevated section which should help with making it look oem. I’ll post pics when I’m finished.

    On the Curt harness, it was the center white wire IIRC.
