    I place $1500+ worth of orders and they asked me to provide copy of cc statement to prove cc belongs to me.

    Kiss my @$$. Told them no way, and to cancel my order.

    It's been 6-7 days and the order just remains open.

    I've emailed and texted numerous times. No response. Worth customer service. And they don't accept calls. WTHeck!

    Looked up BBB claims and these guys have tons filed against them.

    I want to order from another dealership but I have a feeling they're going to charge my cc and send products even after writing to them to cancel my order. And they most likely won't refund me unless I ship the products back at my expense.

    Man, back in the days they known to provide awesome customer service.

    I'm confused. You placed a large order with them, paid via CC, and they have now reached out to you to confirm you own the card that was charged?

    I'd call your CC company and ask if there is anything going on with the order. They will tell you if its being processed or not. If it is, why be annoyed at Sparks if they ship your parts. Don't you want them since you placed the order in the first place?

    If they don't ship, file a complaint with your CC company and let them handle it. This really shouldn't be much of a big deal. But I do agree that I wouldn't be sending my CC statements to Sparks.

    They did that to me too.

    I brought up a recent statement, cropped out everything except the card logo, card number and my name and address and emailed it to them.
    No issues with the rest of the transaction at all, exchanged a few chit chat emails abt toyota’s supply chain and my parts showed up a few days later.

    I suspect they got burned hard a couple of times via fraudulent transactions so they are kinda vigilant, especially on larger orders.

    Same thing happened to me just a few days ago but I live in Canada. I think they have seen a lot of fraud happening and are just protecting themselves. I just blanked out all the important info and scanned a copy of my statement. If something goes bad then I can cancel payments through my credit card provider.

    Look at Boch Toyota South https://www.bochtoyotasouth.com. From my research they have better prices than Sparks and shipping is also cheaper by at least 25%. I would have ordered from them but they only do business with US customers.

    Sorry if my post was unclear.

    I'm so annoyed by them.

    So, they're holding onto my order (i.e. awaiting payment) till they can verify my credit card belongs to me if I provide a copy of my credit card statement. I told them hell no. I told them we can do a 3-way call with my credit card company to verify but I'm not providing my cc statement. They can even call my credit card company then merge me onto the call. This way they know it's legit.

    Anyhow, after several days of sending texts and emails, my order status remains the same: awaiting payment.

    So I emailed them last night telling them to cancel my order. And that I'll give my money to another dealership.

    So the dilemma is...since SparksParts haven't acknowledged my cancelation request, I cannot place my order with another dealership because I risk charge/shipment from SparksParts. And if they do ship it, I may be responsible for shipping it back at my expense.

    Screw you SparksFaRTS!

    Try calling your credit card company and get them to cancel the transaction. If Sparks sees the transaction canceled they probably won't ship.

    I hate to play devils advocate here, because im sure you really want the parts you ordered. However It seems extremely responsible of sparks parts to be very cautious of large cc orders. How many fraudulent purchases that become a headache for an innocent person are prevented by this

    This is likely the case, but if are someone who doesn't want to share those details they have requested then no point moving forward. Sparks should have at least confirmed that the OP's order was canceled.

    I can see Sparks side with wanting to confirm so they aren’t out the funds when it’s shipped. I’m sure it’s happened to them several times, so they are trying to implement a process to minimize it going forward. It may be not be perfected, but it’s something to help protect them and the potential victim of the card belonged to someone else.

    Today I get a text from a response that I sent them 3 days ago. Said they were closed and not opening till Monday, it everything was backed up from phones to parts, painted parts and other parts there would be big delays! Instead of getting better this continue to stagnate!!! I can’t say what I really want to!!!!:)

    The parts I ordered from Sparks Toyota on May 30th arrived at the border store today. It took a few weeks and few emails back and forth but at least they made it for my pick up next week. Hopefully there are no problems or damages.

    I ordered a TRD Pro grill from them two months ago. They immediately notified me via email saying Toyota has placed this item on a backorder and it can take up to 2-3 weeks to get the part... however with the current supply chain issues it can run longer. I waited six weeks to follow up and Sparks said Toyota told them they will not be able to supply that part until September. So I cancelled my order because I do not want to wait that long. They processed my cancellation immediately. It took them two emails to finally reply to my email... I'm sure they have a lot of other orders/customers to deal with so I understand the late response, they're good people IMO.

    I tried to buy it from the Stealership but they won't even give me a quote for the grill because my truck is not a TRD Pro and I will need to provide the vin # before they'll even check their inventory LOL. Can't believe the TRD Pro grill for a 9 year hold truck is still a hot commodity.

    I placed an order for a painted TRD Pro Grill, which I received an email confirmation from them on June 2nd, stating the parts were being sent to the painter, with an ETA of 4 weeks. I emailed them again earlier this week for a shipping ETA, and 3 days later I received an email stating the parts were on backorder, with a new ETA of late September (?!?!?). I too, am looking for another source for a painted TRD Pro grill. Sparks Parts have definitely gone down hill in the customer service department (or lack thereof).

    I used paintedoemparts.com for my grille surround and they did a great job. Good price and free shipping. Arrived in 7 days. I have used them for a GMC bumper before as well.

    I have a very large order with Sparks and I have been trying to cancel for 5 weeks. I have sent many emails, texts and an online form submission. Still no reply.

    I bought TPMS sensors from them 3 years ago. To this day, the order status still shows pending. Your CC company can tell you if they show anything pending. You can always set an alert to notify you if a charge is placed. You might even be able to have your CC company annotate your account to block any transactions from them.

    I agree that you should get a response about canceling the order, but I’m not sure why it was a problem that they asked for verification in the first place.

    We request verification on credit card orders all the time, and I’ve never had someone get mad about it. If someone stole your cc info, wouldn’t you hope a merchant would do some diligence before charging a large amount to it?

    McGeorge Toyota is a good one. I just got parts from them when I added rear AC to my Double Cab. Coggins Toyota of Jacksonville is pretty good too.

    McGeorge is the cheapest for me 99% of the time, but I'm relatively very close to them. They ship quickly, and I've been able to get quite a few Lexus parts from them, too, at FAR cheaper prices than the online Lexus parts dealers.

    The other online parts store I've had good luck with is Lewis Toyota. They are just about as cheap as McGeorge.

    Keep in mind that your shipping costs will be different depending on where you're located in relationship to these parts dealers. If you're out West, you might be better off with Lewis Toyota (located in Kansas) vs McGeorge (located in Virginia) once the shipping rate is factored in.

    I have been waiting for my painted part from them for 4 months now. THey originally quoted 4-8 weeks, but kept extending it 4-5 more weeks every couple weeks. I guess their painter died and had to find a new one which is understandable.

    4 weeks ago I got an unprompted email from them saying "We will get your part back and ship out either this week or next".

    Didn't hear anything for 2 weeks. Had to email them 4 times last week and this week until I finally got an answer. It's being shipped to me this week supposedly.

    They stated they're getting an insane amount of emails and can't keep up supposedly.
